Northern Warriors have a mountain to climb as they play the Delhi Bulls in the 9th game of the T10 League, 2021. The Warriors failed to defend a big score against the Maratha Arabians in the last game and this would have surely dented the confidence of their bowlers. Delhi Bulls on the other hand have looked explosive and come here with a one-sided win against the Maratha Arabians.

Nicholas Pooran’s side went down against the Maratha Arabians in the last game by 5 wickets. The skipper would be upset with his bowlers as they failed to defend a good score on the board. Knowing the kind of form the Delhi Bulls are in at the moment Pooran would want his players to show character to do well in this game. 

Brandon King and Lendl Simmons did well with the bat in the last game and the side would expect a similar show from their here. Rovman Powell and Pooran also played well and make this middle order formidable.  With Waheed Ahmed and Rayad Emrit down the order this batting line-up packs good firepower and shall need to play well given the kind of bowling attack the Bulls have. 

Nuwan Pradeep and Wayne Parnell need to bowl tighter spells in this game with the new ball. This is one area the side will need to improve upon. Wahab Riaz and Emrit need to make good use of their experience in this game. Fabian Allen did well in the last game and the same would be expected of him here.

It has been two massive wins for Dwayne Bravo’s side. They annihilated the Maratha Arabians in the last game winning by 9 wickets with five overs to spare. In both the games their batting has looked in tremendous form and the bowlers have also played complimentary roles. Bravo would look to win this game and go into the next round with momentum on their side. 

Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Evin Lewis are in good form and the side would be looking for another explosive start from them. Ravi Bopara has done well at No. 3 and makes the middle order formidable with the likes of Adam Lyth and Sherfane Rutherford in the side. Bravo and Mohammad Nabi are good hitters down the order and add strength to the side’s batting.  

Their bowlers come into this game after an impressive show in the last one. Fidel Edwards and Amad Butt would look to continue with their impressive form. Kasif Daud has also looked good so far. With Nabi, Bravo and Ali Khan in the bowling mix they have worthy strength in this department.

The skies would be clear with odd clouds on January 30 over Abu Dhabi and a good game of cricket is in store. The track is two paced and creates doubts in the minds of the batsmen.  Spinners are doing well as we have seen so far. The side batting first in this game would have to go past 130 runs to win here.

Venue Details

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi has large boundaries but a very quick outfield and this allows the batsmen to score lots of runs at this venue. It isn’t the easiest of venues for the fast bowlers as there is hardly anything for them in their but we have seen spinners do well in this ground.
