Oman Preview

The home side, Oman, heads into the second T20 match after defeating Goa by 6 wickets in the series opener. They won the toss and elected to bowl first on a slightly sluggish surface, and their bowlers responded well by restricting Goa to 136/8.

Shahzad Rahim set the tone early on in the powerplay overs, dismissing both openers to finish with figures of 2/20. Hassnain Ali Shah took three key wickets in the middle overs, and Faisal Shah also chipped in with two wickets; these two bowlers turned the game in Oman's favour just when Goa's middle order looked threatening.

Chasing down 137 runs, Oman's openers played cautiously, adding 36 runs in 4.4 overs. Hasnain Ul Wahab scored 22 runs off 14 balls, while Jatinder Singh steadied the innings from the other end, scoring 40 runs off 38 balls. Vinayak Shukla (28 runs) and Zikria Islam (23 runs) provided the finishing touches by adding 49 runs off 32 balls for the fifth wicket as Oman chased down the target in 19.2 overs.

Oman Predicted Playing XI:

Jatinder Singh, Hasnain Ul Wahab, Hammad Mirza, Jiten Ramanandi, Vinayak Shukla (wk), Zikria Islam, Faisal Shah, Hassnain Ali Shah, Shahzad Rahim, Shakeel Ahmed, Wasim Ali

Goa Preview

Goa had a disappointing start to the series, losing the first T20 match by 6 wickets in a one-sided contest. Batting first, Goa managed to score 136/8—a below-par score on a moderate-scoring ground. Abhinav Tejrana was unable to provide a good start, falling early for just 5 runs. From the other end, Shivendra Bhujbal struck at a strike rate of 200, scoring 24 runs off 12 balls.

Deepraj Gaonkar also struggled to get his timing right, managing a run-a-ball 31. Suyash Prabhudessai (14 runs) and Yash Kasvankar (12 runs) got off to starts but could not convert them into big scores. Mohit Redkar's quickfire cameo of 25 runs off 12 balls powered their total close to the 140-run mark.

Defending the target, Goa failed to take wickets at timely intervals despite Vasuki Koushik's magnificent spell of 2/14 in 4 overs, including a maiden. Deepraj Gaonkar and Vikash Singh also picked up one wicket each.

Goa Predicted Playing XI:

Abhinav Tejrana, Shivendra Bhujbal, Deepraj Goankar, Yash Kasvankar, Suyash Prabhudessai, Mohit Redkar, Darhsna Misal, Vikash Singh, Vasuki Koushik. Heramb Parab, Felix Alemao

OMA vs GOA Pitch Report

The surface at Al Amerat Cricket Ground is good for batting. It also offers a good balance between bat and ball. Spin assistance will be there in the middle overs. In the last five matches at this ground, the average first batting score in the T20 format is 146. It is a quality batting surface where batsmen need to play sensibly.

Score prediction:

If Oman bat first - 155-160 runs
If Goa bat first - 160-165 runs

Toss: To Bowl

Teams bowling first won the last five T20 matches played at Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) where the surface get's better for batting as the match progresses and the team that wins the toss will look to bowl first.

Toss Prediction: Goa to win the coin toss

The odds are heavily in favour of Oman to win this match and clinch the series 2–0, but Goa bowled really well and almost pulled off a win in the 1st T20. We are going against the odds and backing Goa to put up a much better performance with both bat and ball to level the series 1–1.
