After clinching the T20 series 2-0, Oman began the One day series with a clinical 25 run victory in the 1st One Day. Goa have played really well in the entire tour but failed to build momentum and win the key moments in the series and as a result they find themselves on the backfoot heading into the 2nd One day match.

Oman continued their dominant run in the series, winning the 1st One-Day match by 25 runs. Batting first, Oman piled up a huge score of 309/8 in their 50 overs.
Jatinder Singh provided the best start to Oman's innings, carrying his bat through to bring up a magnificent century. He finished his innings unbeaten on 127 runs off 99 balls, a knock that included 11 fours and 7 sixes. Hasnain Ul Wahab also chipped in with 54 runs, as the opening duo put together a 120-run stand in 22.3 overs, laying the perfect platform for the rest of the batters to capitalize on.
Hammad Mirza (36 runs off 36 balls) and Jiten Ramanandi (40 runs off 44 balls) carried on the fine work started by the openers, pushing Oman past the 300-run mark.
Defending 309 runs, Oman bowled out Goa for 286. Muzahir Raza was the standout bowler, claiming a five-wicket haul to finish with figures of 5/51 in 8 overs. Jay Odedra contributed with two wickets, while Shakeel Ahmed, Mohammad Imran, and Nadeem Khan picked up one wicket each.

Goa's poor run of form on their tour of Oman continued as they failed to chase down 309 runs in the 1st One-Day match, losing by 25 runs. Yet another lacklustre performance from their bowlers did not help the cause.
Vasuki Koushik, as usual, was the most economical and effective bowler. He bowled his heart out in the 1st One-Day match, conceding only 34 runs and picking up 2 wickets in 10 overs, which included 2 maiden overs.
Deepraj Gaonkar also chipped in with 2 wickets, conceding 54 runs in 10 overs. C Venkata was slightly expensive, conceding at 7.4 runs per over while picking up 2 wickets, while the rest of the bowlers were taken around the park and failed to build pressure.
Chasing 309 runs, Goa's top order once again failed to provide a solid start. They were struggling at 56/3 in 11.2 overs and were further reduced to 81/4 in 16.3 overs. From there, Suyash Prabhudessai (72 runs off 69 balls) and Deepraj Gaonkar (68 runs off 75 balls) led the fightback.
The duo added 105 runs for the 5th wicket to keep Goa in the hunt. However, both batters fell in quick succession, leaving no way back. Vikash Singh (26 runs) and Shivendra Bhujbal (19 runs) attempted a counter-attack, but it proved to be too little, too late in the end.

Weather conditions at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) are set to remain sunny and clear throughout the day. Temperatures are forecast around 30.1°C with 81% humidity levels, alongside a 0% chance of rain, providing ideal, uninterrupted playing conditions for cricket.
The surface at Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) played out really well in the last match where both teams scored past 280 runs. Spinners have been the most economical and effective bowlers where they picked up 65% of the wickets in the last 10 matches. Expect another good batting track and high scoring fixture, where a score of around 280 is going to be a match winning total.
Teams bowling first hold the edge at Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) where the chasing teams won three of the last five matches, the surface get's better for batting as the match progresses under lights and we predict the team that wins the toss will look to bowl first in this fixture.
Toss Prediction: Oman to win the coin toss
Oman enter this contest as the favourites, with the odds slightly in their favour. However, going against the odds, we are backing Goa to finally hit their stride, outclass the home team, claim their first win of the tour, and level the One-Day series 1-1.
