In both games, they failed to defend the total. They even dragged both opponents to 19th over but fell short of a victory. Alistar Frost scored 95 runs off 53 balls and Jarod Basson added 44 runs. Michael Frost bagged three wickets in the 2nd innings. Matthew Campbell scored 60 off 28 balls in the opening game. 

Rangers finished fifth in the 2025 league phase with three wins and four defeats from seven matches, missing out on the playoffs despite recording a strong net run rate of +1.038. Their campaign included a heavy 76-run defeat to Takashinga Patriots 1 in the opening game, while they also suffered defeats against Amakhosi 1 and eventual table-toppers Rimuka.

Jonathan Campbell remains one of the key players to watch for Rangers. The captain showed his ability to anchor the innings under pressure, scoring 47 against Takashinga 1 and later contributing an unbeaten 30 in the 2025 National Premier League meeting against Queens 1. Matthew Campbell is another important batting option, having struck 60 against Queens 1 in the opening game of the T20 Blast.

With the ball, Michael Frost is likely to be central to Rangers' plans. The all-rounder produced one of the standout bowling performances, picking three wickets in the last game. He also contributed with the bat in other matches last season. Daniel Jackiel also made an impact with the ball, claiming two wickets against Takashinga 1. Old Hararians 1 Preview

Old Hararians 1 are also making their debut in the NPL T20 Blast. Their first game was washed out due to rain. They finished sixth in the 2026 NPL Super 40, collecting 30 points from 13 matches with seven wins, five defeats and one no-result. They were among the eight teams that qualified for the T20 Blast, but their campaign was less consistent than the Titans'. They showed their batting strength on several occasions, including a huge 276 against Gladiators, although the total was chased down. They also recorded impressive wins over Scorpions and Amakhosi 1, highlighting the potential of their batting unit.

Ahsan Aqil Ali will be a crucial player for Old Hararians after an outstanding Super 40 campaign. The all-rounder produced an unbeaten 100 against Mbizo and also took three wickets in the same match, underlining his value with both bat and ball. Captain Clive Madande is another major batting threat, having scored 80 against Gladiators and 77 against Scorpions. Faraz Akram also showed his ability to score quickly, making 77 against Scorpions, while Cephas Zhuwao provided further firepower in the middle and lower order. 

With Ali Hasnain and Natsai Mushangwe among their bowling options, Old Hararians have enough depth to challenge the Titans in the T20 format.
