Bet NowThe 12th game of the IPL 2020 would be a very interesting contest as both the teams are coming into this riding high on confidence. Rajasthan Royals have started the tournament well with back to back wins and won a high scoring chase against Kings XI Punjab leading up to this game. Kolkata Knight Riders come into this game after a massive win against Sunrisers Hyderabad which will be adding to their confidence.
In the last two seasons the Kolkata Knight Riders have dominated the Rajasthan Royals winning four out of five games and this will surely be playing in minds of both the teams. For the Rajasthan Royals, it would all be about continuing with the same momentum that we have seen from them in the last two games. With both the sides looking in red hot form at the moment, we expect this to be great contest.
What a majestic win it was for Steven Smith’s side where they defeated Kings XI Punjab by 4 wickets chasing a massive score of 224 to win. This was a new record for a run chase in the IPL and this would have given the side huge amount of confidence. But Smith would be worried about the performance of his bowlers as in both the games the side has conceded 200 or more runs.
They have a formidable opening combination in Jos Buttler and Steven Smith. With Smith looking in good form the side would be looking for a majestic start from the duo. Sanju Sampson is looking in sublime form at the moment and along with last game’s hero Rahul Tewatia adds punch to the middle order. The side has good hitters down the order in Robin Uthappa, Jofra Archer, Riyan Parag and Tom Curran and this makes it a very formidable batting line-up.
It is their bowling attack that is giving the skipper lot of worries at the moment. Jaydev Unadkat and Ankit Rajpoot will need to avoid leaking runs in the early overs of the game. Archer too has looked in poor form with the ball and shall need to check his line and length in this game. Shreyas Gopal has been expensive as well as the skipper would want him to bowl with a better economy.

It was a big turnaround for Dinesh Karthik’s side in the last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad which they won comfortably by 7 wickets. Coming after their loss against Mumbai Indians in the first game, this would have added to the side’s confidence. The side has a good record against Rajasthan Royals over the last two seasons and shall look to continue with it in this game.
Sunil Narine’s form at the top looks worrying at the moment but Shubman Gill looks in good touch at the moment. They shall look to exploit the weakness that Royals have in their bowling attack. The middle order looks strong with Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan and Karthik already making made runs in this tournament. It is towards the end that the side has great finishers in Andre Russell, Pat Cummins and Shivam Mavi. Russell is yet to shine but he has a good record against Rajasthan.
Their bowlers made a good comeback in the last game after a poor show in the season opener. Narine and Cummins will look to restrict the run from for the Royals with the new ball given the kind of batting form we have seen from Royals so far. Kuldeep Yadav hasn’t been at his best and shall look to do well in the middle with Varun Chakravarthy, Russell and the young sensation Nagarkoti.

The skies over Dubai would be clear on September 30th and we shall have a good game of cricket on our hands. We have seen big scores being set up here and the pitch has played well. There have been little on the track for the bowlers so far in the tournament. The side batting first in the game would have to put up a score in the range of 170 runs to feel comfortable.
Dubai International Cricket Stadium is the largest stadium in UAE and this creates the perfect balance in the game for the batsmen and the bowlers. The outfield is fast and batsmen can play their strokes but hitting sixes is tougher than other venues. Fast bowlers need to use their variations well as there is little on the surface for them. Spinners enjoy bowling here as the large size of the ground offers them extra cushion.
Four games have been played so far at this venue and all the four have gone in favor of the sides that have batted first. While there has been the evening dew which has made conditions tough for bowling in the second innings, it hasn’t affected the results as much as was expected. This is where we believe the side that wins the toss would like to bat first on this track.
This is expected to be a thrilling contest with both the sides coming into this contest after registering massive wins. Rajasthan Royals have done extremely well with the bat in both the games and have players in good form but it is their bowling attack that is giving worries to the side. Kolkata Knight Riders on the other hand have done well with the ball and have good hitters of the ball down the order and this will make them favorites in this contest.
