South Delhi Superstarz Women Preview

South Delhi Superstarz Women began their Women’s DPL 2026 title defence with a convincing 29-run victory over Central Delhi Queens Women. Batting first, they posted 156/5, with Tanisha Singh scoring 64 and Nishika Singh adding 50 to lead the recovery after an early setback. 

The bowling attack then restricted Central Delhi Queens to 127/7, with Roopali Vishwa Mohan, Mayuri Singh and Disha Nagar taking two wickets each.  

The defending champions will now face North Delhi Strikers Women in Match 3 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on 22 August. 

With their batting already showing good depth and several bowlers making an impact in the opening game, South Delhi will look to continue their winning start and strengthen their position early in the tournament.

North Delhi Strikers Women made an impressive start to their Women’s DPL 2026 campaign, defeating East Delhi Riders Women by nine wickets. Chasing 102, they raced to 105/1 in just 14.5 overs, with Shivi Sharma top-scoring with an unbeaten 57 off 43 balls, while Archana remained unbeaten on 38 off 32 balls. 

Their bowling attack had earlier restricted East Delhi to 101/8, with Reshika Beniwal and Nazma claiming two wickets each, while Apeksha Anand, Shivani Jangid and Priya Mishra also picked up a wicket.  

North Delhi will now face defending champions South Delhi Superstarz Women in Match 3 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on 22 August. 

Having begun their campaign with a dominant nine-wicket victory, the Strikers will be confident heading into the contest and will look to maintain their winning momentum against a strong South Delhi side.
