Sandgate-Redcliffe is going to play against Redlands in the 19th fixture of the 2025 KFC T20 Max competition. The game is set to take place at Ken Mackay Oval in Brisbane with a scheduled start time of 1:30 PM IST on 28th August.
Head to Head Record: Though Redlands are going strong in the tournament but their history against Redcliffe suggest something else as the one and only encounter between these two teams did not go in favor of Redlands. Sandgate-Redcliffe beat them by 95 runs in the last match they played.

Sandgate-Redcliffe have had a balanced campaign so far but the last match against valley was a very big disappointment. They were defeated by almost a 100 run margin in that fixture. They are positioned at the 10th position on the points table but now they need to work harder than most of the teams to try and reach the top 4 spot.
The last match was a horrible outing for them with everyone in the team being clueless. Jack Cooper initiated with intent but no one else supported him from the batting order while chasing a 230+ runs target. No one in the order scored more than 30 runs and the whole team collapsed for 139 runs in 20 overs.
The bowlers were no less and no one had any plans against the assault of the opposition captain who scored 120 runs in 57 balls. A decent effort from Addison Sherriff was appreciated but it was not enough for the team. The bowlers and the batters need to do much better and their approach should be attacking and not defensive while competing in such a competitive tournament.

Redlands on the other hand are on a hot streak right now with 2 wins in 2 games and are placed in the top 4 for now. They have dominated both their matches against Wynumm-Manly and Sunshine Coast whether by bowling or batting. In the last match it was the bowling effort that took them across the line.
Lachlan Bangs was the standout performer with 5 wickets in his 4 overs , but, that was not it as almost every bowler chipped in at least one wicket and made it easier for them to defend a tricky total of 173 runs against Sunshine Coast where the openers had already started the innings pretty well.
The top order collapsed in the last match but the lower order handled it pretty well with the captain James Bazley and Lachlan Bangs took the bowlers apart to end the batting innings on a high which helped them to win at the end of the day. The batting order still needs to pull up their socks as a bad day could cost them a top 4 spot with others team getting better in the tournament each and every day,

On Thursday, August 28th, Brisbane is going to have sunny weather with a gentle breeze with 5% chances of rain. Winds will remain light at around 20-30 km/h, temperatures will hover near 21-22°C, and there’s about 39% of humidity.
The Ken Mackay Oval in Brisbane is known for offering balanced playing conditions that cater to both batsmen and bowlers. The pitch typically provides consistent bounce, which is beneficial for batters who can rely on the surface. However, it also offers some early assistance to pacers with pace and bounce. As the game progresses and the pitch gets used, it tends to slow down and offer more turn, bringing spinners into the game in the middle overs.
This season has been different as 3 out of 4 matches played at the venue have been won by team batting 1st and that too high scoring targets were given to the chasing team. The best decision on this pitch would be to stick with the decision to bat first and give a huge target to the opposition. The main thing would be to capitalize the powerplay overs and use the bounce to your favor.
Redlands are far ahead of Sandgate-Redcliffe right now in the tournament and are looking favorites for this fixture. We would be backing them on the logic of the bowling performances they have produced and the batting depth of the team.
