Northants won by 102 runs (DLS) the last time and only time these sides met in a T20 Blast fixture. That was back in August 2013 with the Steelbacks lifting the trophy at Edgbaston!
David Willey was the star for Northants Steelbacks that day and he is likely to play a key role with both bat and ball as they go up against the all-conquering Surrey team in this quarter-final.
Both teams are one victory away from booking their place at Final's Day a week on Saturday and this game could come down to which of the sides deals best with that pressure.
It is likely to be humid up above and in all likelihood tense on the pitch when this game gets underway on Wednesday evening.

There will be no Will Jacks at the top of the order for Surrey in this game as the batting all-rounder is away on England duty and will have been in action less than 24 hours earlier in the opening ODI fixture against South Africa in Leeds!
As ever, this creates a gap and an opportunity in the opening position for Surrey and we expect the vastly experienced Jason Roy to step up and relish a chance back in the top two.
Surrey have runs throughout their team and their slew of all-rounders will not hesitate to try and smack boundaries from their first deliveries.
With the ball, they have plenty of pace and bounce through Reece Topley, Chris Jordan and Jamie Overton.
Jordan Clark also comes into this game in very strong white-ball form.

After an incredible start to their campaign in the North Group, a run which included six successive victories, Northants Steelbacks then lost five in a row and six of their final eight games!
This means that they come into this quarter-final, against a very strong opposition, without much momentum and following a nine wicket defeat against Durham to conclude the group stage.
They do have plenty of experience in their squad though and that could be crucial with David Willey and Ravi Bopara the two with a huge number of international caps to fall-back on!
Matthew Breetzke at the top of the order is another top player and the bowling is likely to be fronted by Ben Sanderson and George Scrimshaw with the new ball.

The Oval continues to be one of the great cricketing venues in the UK. A fast outfield and equally quick wicket means that run-scoring is always possible at this venue.
The pitch is likely to dry out as the game progresses in South London so are prediction is that both teams will arrive at the ground and want to bowl first on Wednesday.
Northants Steelbacks were simply unstoppable in this format until mid-June when the wheels started to come off! They will have benefited from the break of The Hundred but they are up against a confident and winning machine in Surrey. We expect the hosts to come out on top and go through to Final's Day.
We are backing Surrey to win!
