This ICC Women's World Cup Qualifier in Lahore was always expected to be a close affair with many sides, thought to be at a similar level, contesting this six-team event.
However, so it has emerged that Ireland Women and Thailand Women appear to be the weakest sides and although Ireland Women have lost an additional game, such has been the level of defeats for Thailand Women that they sit at the bottom of the table due to a far inferior net-run-rate than their fellow win-less side.
That said, this game is an opportunity for both teams as the table remains tight at this stage. Victory for one of the sides will see them move onto two points and only two further points from the summit of the group!
It would be a huge surprise if either of these teams went on to finish on four or six points but one of Ireland Women or Thailand Women will get off the mark in this game.

Since arriving in Pakistan, Natthakan Chantham has been Thailand Women's standout batter and she is likely to be key to their chances of success in this fixture on Tuesday.
As a team, in their last game, a 58-run defeat against Scotland Women when Thailand Women were dismissed for 148 when in pursuit of 207, it was Chantham who hit 63 of the runs, was the only player in the team to hit a six and with eight fours was the most of any batter across both sides in the game!
While Chantham will be crucial with the bat, two spinners are likely to be very important with the ball. Off-spinning 27 year old Onnicha Kamchomphu and 21 year old slow left-arm orthodox Thipatcha Putthawong both come into this clash against Ireland Women after picking up three wickets against Scotland Women.

Fans, team management and the Ireland Women players all believe that their lowly position in the table does not quite reflect their performances or ability and there does seem to be some truth in this as they lost by only two wickets with eight balls remaining against Bangladesh Women in their last game.
Bangladesh Women currently lead the table so that shows just how close Ireland Women are to the side with the most points at the start of the week!
Coming into this game, the entire Ireland Women bowling attack all picked up at least one wicket against Bangladesh Women while Orla Prendergast (41 runs from 64 balls) and Laura Delany (63 runs from 75 balls) arrive in strong form.
Gaby Lewis is yet to make a score of over 24 in the competition but is one of their stronger batters so do not be surprised if she steps up in this match.

The weather conditions look set to be more like what the Thailand Women players would be used to at home than the Ireland Women team! It will be over 30 degrees with sunny weather throughout on Tuesday in Lahore.
A par score on this pitch in Lahore is around 250 on a surface which has been consistent but has offered slow and low bounce. There will be plenty of assistance for the spinners.
Although we have seen some teams win while chasing, there have been more victories and by bigger margins, for the teams who have batted first in this year's tournament. Therefore, we predict that both captains will want to bat first.
Ireland Women may have lost three games already this season but they have a much stronger side with both bat and ball than Bangladesh Women. As a result, we are predicting a first victory of the qualifier for Ireland Women.
We are backing Ireland Women to win!
