Tripura's poor run of form in the season continues as they lose yet another match, falling to Uttarakhand by 9 wickets in Agartala. Despite a solid first-innings 75 from Sridam Paul and a late 60 by Swapnil Singh to reach 266.
Tripura couldn’t capitalize on a dream start with the ball as well. Manisankar Murasingh's brilliant 6-wicket haul initially left Uttarakhand reeling at 24/4, but a massive 171-run partnership between Jagadeesha Suchith (86) and Saurabh Rawat (80) allowed the visitors to take a slim lead.
In the second innings, Tripura’s top order crumbled against Mayank Mishra’s spin. Although keeper Sentu Sarkar fought hard with an unbeaten 57 to set a target of 224, it wasn't enough. Uttarakhand chased the total comfortably on the final day, powered by Bhupen Lalwani’s patient century (100*) and captain Kunal Chandela’s aggressive 83*, handing Tripura a clinical defeat on their home turf.
Tripura have so far gone winless this season, and with one match left to play, their main objective is to avoid finishing at the bottom of the table and aim to secure at least one home victory. Vijay Shankar (365 runs) and Hanuma Vihari (385 runs) are the two batters Tripura will rely on to do the bulk of the scoring.
In the bowling department, Manisankar Murasingh is Tripura’s leading wicket-taker among the pacers this season with 15 wickets, and he has been effective with the new ball by providing early breakthroughs. Meanwhile, left-arm spinner Swapnil Singh tops the charts with 21 wickets. These two players are expected to play a huge role if Tripura are to take control in their final league match.

Gujarat are coming off a crucial loss, having suffered an eight-wicket defeat against Railways in Nadiad. After being bundled out for a disappointing 175 in the first innings—where only Jaymeet Patel (57) offered significant resistance amid a batting collapse—Gujarat struggled to contain Railways’ massive response of 424, as their bowlers failed to take wickets at regular intervals.
Siddharth Desai was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4/93 and was well supported by Chintan Gaja, who picked up three wickets. Despite their efforts, Gujarat were trailing by 249 runs going into the third innings.
In the third innings, Gujarat showed much better fight with the bat, scoring 347 runs on the back of Jaymeet Patel’s superb second-innings century (101), supported by a stroke-filled 64 from keeper-batter Urvil Patel and an 80-run partnership with Kshitij Patel (38).
However, a middle-order collapse left Railways with a modest target of 99, which they chased down comfortably despite Siddharth Desai’s twin strikes, further denting Gujarat’s hopes in Group C.
Gujarat are now out of the top-two race, as they can reach a maximum of 21 points without a bonus and 22 with a bonus point, while the top two teams in the group are sitting at 23 and 24 points. As a result, this is a dead rubber, with Gujarat looking to end the season on a high and play for pride.

The pitch at Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium offers a balanced track that favours both the batters and bowlers. In the initial stages of the match it favours the batters and as the game progresses bowlers dominate. The average 1st innings score in the three matches played here this season is a staggering 401 runs, while that score drops to 308 runs in the second innings.
Teams batting first hold the upperhand in the three matches played at Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium, Agartala this season where in two matches the teams batting first managed to get the first innings lead. The surface also plays much better early on the day one and day two so the ideal choice for the team that wins the toss here is to bat first.
Gujarat enter this contest as the favourites to win, but two of the three matches at the Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium have ended in a draw this season, and Tripura have played solid cricket at this venue. Therefore, a draw is predicted, with Gujarat securing a first-innings lead.
We predict a draw and Gujarat to take the 1st innings lead.
