The Turkey national women’s cricket team head into the contest with an emphatic victory in the opening game of the 2026 Women’s Continental Cup. They took a flight to Romania to humiliate Austria in the opening assignment. The Turkish side bowled out the opposition on 35 runs in 8.1 overs. They finished the chase in 5.3 with a match-winning six by Bayram. 

Hacer Celik bagged a four-wicket haul and Kubra Canavarci picked up three wickets in the victory on opening day. Turkey were also a participant in the 2025 Continental Cup in Bucharest where they secured two victories out of four. They defeated Romania and Bulgaria to finish third in the group stage. They will take on Guernsey in the next encounter. It will be their first meeting against them. 

In the previous edition of the continental cup, they lost both games by a margin of less than 10 runs. Kubra Canavarci could be a player to watch out for. The skipper has contributed 88 runs in 10 innings and also picked up seven wickets. We back her to be a player of the match in the upcoming contest. Guernsey Women Preview

Guernsey kicked off the campaign in the 2026 Women’s Continental Cup with a humiliating defeat against Austria. They suffered a 85-run defeat in the opening contest. Austria posted 104 runs while batting first and Guernsey looked pathetic in the second innings. They were bowled out for just 19 runs in 6.5 overs. This is the lowest total recorded by Guernsey since 2023. Their previous lowest total was 38 (vs. Jersey, 2023). 

Guernsey will be eliminated from the competition if they lose one more game. They are not participating in the Nordic Cup this year. Before arriving in Romania, they lost to Jersey 2-0. Their last multinational tournament was Women’s T20I Nordic Cup where they secured three wins out of four. They defeated Norway, Finland and Estonia. 

Overall, Guernsey have won four of their last 10 matches in the format. Francesca Bulpitt could be one of the players to watch in the upcoming contest. She has scored 157 runs for Guernsey and has produced several useful cameos at the top of the order. However, we back her to score under 25 runs in the upcoming match.

Molly Robinson is another key player for Guernsey. She played a match-winning knock of 40 against Norway and has also been effective with the ball, picking up 15 wickets in T20Is.
