Canada’s bowling has led them down in this series as they have been unable to keep the USA batters in check.
Back USA to win the third match and take the series 3-0.

USA beat Canada in the second T20I to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Now they are just one win away from sealing a memorable series win over their rivals. The confidence with which they have played, it looks like team USA is well on track to achieve a third win on the trot. All eyes will be on the third match at the Prairie View Cricket Complex tomorrow. It will be interesting to see whether Canada can make a comeback.
Leading the batting charge for the USA were Steven Taylor, Andries Gous, and captain Monank Patel in the second T20I, each notching up impressive half-centuries. Their contributions helped propel the team to a total of 230 runs, ultimately securing a convincing 31-run victory in Prairie View.
Making a forceful start after being asked to bat first, USA, led by openers Taylor and Monank, swiftly accumulated 104 runs in just 8.3 overs. Taylor took on the role of aggressor initially, smashing seven fours and three sixes in his rapid 25-ball 54. Despite the setback, USA maintained their momentum, with both Gous and Monank registering impressive half-centuries for the second consecutive game. Monank's explosive innings included 10 boundaries and two maximums in his 68 off 35 balls, while Gous contributed a brisk 35-ball 57 featuring three fours and four sixes.
The onslaught continued as Aaron Jones launched a late assault, hitting four soaring sixes in his 20-ball 34, pushing the team's total above 200 runs.
In the bowling department, seven USA bowlers managed to make breakthroughs, with Saurabh Netravalkar, Shadley van Schalkwyk, and Harmeet Singh claiming two wickets each. Netravalkar and Schalkwyk are their in-form bowlers in this series, and we expect them to continue the good work.

Chasing a target of 231 was never going to be easy, but Canada gave it a spirited try, eventually folding out for 199. This was a better batting performance than their hapless display in the first match.
After the early blow of losing opener Srimantha Wijeyeratne without adding any runs to the scoreboard, Canada faced an uphill battle. However, Aaron Johnson and Pargat Singh stepped up to the plate, engineering an impressive recovery with a resilient 95-run partnership. Despite Canada's promising start of 112 for 1 in the first 11 overs, the quick dismissals of Johnson (74) and Pargat (27) shifted the momentum significantly in favor of USA. While a few other batters, particularly Harsh Thaker, showed flashes of brilliance, USA maintained complete control throughout the match.
Aaron Johnson, who now has 438 runs in his last 10 matches at a strike rate of almost 180, will have to lead the charge in the third match. Harsh Thaker is another one we are backing to put up an impactful display.
Canada has been struggling with their bowling in this series and need to get their act together quickly. Perhaps, they should give Nikhil Dutta a chance in the third T20I. The off-spinner has taken 12 wickets in his last 8 matches at an economy of 6.05.

The pitches at the Prairie View Cricket Complex have been great for T20s. The strip used in the first match helped the bowlers, while the one in the second match was a bowlers paradise. It remains to be seen what surface is used in the third T20I. We reckon it will be somewhat similar to the track used in the first T20I, where there was some assistance to the bowlers while batters needed to spend time before going for their shots.
The weather is expected to be sunny in te morning and breezy in the afternoon.
Depending on the track that is used, we believe the team batting first will be looking to set a score of around 180 at least. If it’s a batting beauty like the second match, then another 200-plus total cannot be ruled out by the team batting first.
The Prairie View Cricket Complex has produced two contrasting matches in this series. The first one was a low-scoring encounter while the second one saw almost 430 runs being scored. We feel if USA wins the toss in this match, they will look to bat first and set a big total. Canada, meanwhile, might be comfortable chasing because despite losing the previous match, they gave a pretty good fight.
With three victories out of five encounters, the USA stands ahead of Canada in their T20I head-to-head record. On paper, Canada looked to be the better side, but USA have performed better overall in this series, and that’s why they are ahead. They can, of course, make a comeback, but it looks like the home side will continue their winning streak given how well they have performed as a unit.
Back USA to win the third match and take the series 3-0.
