The team badly missed the presence of Stafanie Taylor, who has been out due to injury.

New Zealand Women will be happy with their performance in the 2nd T20I. They lost the first match due to some sloppy batting but made amends in the next encounter. Suzie Bates top-scored with a fantastic 54 off 61 balls. Her knock was enough to ensure her team a comfortable sic-wicket win. However, the team will be concerned with the failures of Georgia Plimmer and Maddy Green. The presence of Lauren Down in the middle order, however, provides them with much-needed stability.

The Kiwi bowlers have enjoyed this pitch throughout the limited overs series and they once again utilized it much better than the home side. The experienced Hayley Jensen was in action this time and picked up 3 wickets for 24 runs from her 4 overs.
