Delhi Dynamos and Faridabad Firebirds will lock horns in the final of the National Capital Region T20 League 2026 on Sunday, 4th October. The venue for this match is Yamuna Sports Complex, Surajmal Vihar, New Delhi and the scheduled start time is 17:00 IST.

Yamuna Warriors earned the ticket to semifinals after winning the rescheduled match on Friday. On the next day, they defeated Delhi Dynamos in the semifinals to reach the title clash. On the other hand, Faridabad Firebirds secured the ticket to semifinals by winning the first two games. They outclassed Ghaziabad Giants in the semifinals. Both teams would eye a trophy in the inaugural edition of the tournament.

Yamuna Warriors Preview

Yamuna Warriors enter the final in excellent form after a dominant 70-run victory over Delhi Dynamos in the first semifinal. Batting first, they posted 194 runs, with Zuhaib Akhlaq scoring 68 and Gaurav Dhama smashing 44 off just 22 balls. The bowling attack then completed the job, led by Kaushal Kumar’s five-wicket haul, while Priyanshu Yadav claimed three wickets. Kaushal’s combination of wickets and match-winning impact makes him one of the strongest fantasy picks from the Warriors.

The Warriors had also impressed in their previous two matches. Against Aravali Avengers, they chased down 168 with 15 balls to spare, with Mandeep scoring a half-century at the top of the order. In their previous meeting with Ghaziabad Giants, Yamuna successfully chased 199 with four balls remaining. Zuhaib Akhlaq produced a brilliant 74 off 36 balls, while Gaurav Dhama added 41 off 28. The opening pair's 50-run partnership in 4.4 overs provided another indication of Yamuna's aggressive approach at the top.

Akhlaq has been the Warriors' leading run-scorer, accumulating 150 runs in four innings. His recent scores of 74 and 68 underline his current form and make him a high-value fantasy batting option. Gaurav Dhama has also provided useful contributions in the top order, while Mandeep's half-century against Aravali Avengers adds another option for fantasy teams.

With the ball, MD Salman leads the Warriors' wicket charts with seven wickets in four matches, making him their most consistent wicket-taking option. Kaushal Kumar has also taken seven wickets, but in only two matches, including his outstanding 5/22 in the semifinal. Priyanshu Yadav, meanwhile, enters the final after claiming three wickets in the semifinal and could offer further value if the conditions favour the bowlers.

Yamuna Warriors Predicted Playing XI:

Vikum Sanjaya (C), Mandeep, Zuhaib Akhlaq, Gaurav Dhama, Md. Salman, Abhishek Koli, Navneet Singh, Kaushal Kumar, Priyanshu Yadav, Akash Jana, Manas Vats

Faridabad Firebirds Preview

Faridabad Firebirds enter the final on the back of a convincing five-wicket victory over Ghaziabad Giants in the semifinal. Their bowlers restricted Ghaziabad to just 117 runs, with Anurag Mishra and Mayank Chandila taking three wickets each, before Faridabad chased down the target with five wickets in hand. Prince Kumar top-scored with 42 off 20 balls, providing the finishing impetus. Mishra and Chandila remain strong fantasy bowling options after their match-winning spells, while Prince offers value as an aggressive batting pick.

The Firebirds have otherwise enjoyed an excellent campaign, with their only defeat coming against Delhi Dynamos. Batting first, Faridabad posted 148 runs, led by Deeptanshu Sharma’s 79 off 58 balls. Their bowlers made an excellent start by taking three wickets inside the first four overs, but Delhi eventually completed the chase. The result remains Faridabad’s only setback in the tournament and highlights their ability to put early pressure on opponents even when defending modest totals.

Earlier, the Firebirds produced one of the standout batting performances of the tournament against Gurugram Gladiators, chasing down 190 with eight wickets in hand. Ayush Sachdeva and Adeet Singh both scored half-centuries, while Adeet also contributed with the ball, returning excellent figures of 2/16 in four overs. His dual impact makes him one of the most attractive fantasy options in the Faridabad lineup.

Their campaign began with a clinical victory over Noida Ninjas, who were restricted to 100/7. Anurag Mishra, Mayank Arora and Suraj Rathore picked up two wickets each after Faridabad reduced Noida to 8/4 early on. In reply, the opening pair added 85 runs in 8.3 overs, with Ayush Sachdeva smashing 56 off 29 balls. Sachdeva’s ability to score quickly at the top gives him significant fantasy upside, particularly if Faridabad are chasing.

Sachdeva has been one of the Firebirds’ standout performers, scoring 126 runs in three matches, including two half-centuries. Adeet Singh has been equally influential, contributing a half-century and six wickets across the tournament. With Sachdeva providing explosive starts and Adeet offering value in both departments, the pair are arguably Faridabad’s strongest fantasy combination.

Faridabad Firebirds Predicted Playing XI:

Ayush Sachdeva, Naveen Kumar, Adeet Singh, Tanay Kaushik, Ishan Malhotra (c), Suraj Rathore, Shivam Panchal, Mayank Arora, Prince Kumar, Nishant Jindal, Anurag Mishra

YAWAR vs FFBD Pitch Report

The surface at Yamuna Sports Complex is a batting-friendly one, with plenty of assistance for stroke-makers. Scores of 180-plus have been a regular feature in the first innings, while the average first-innings score in the last five domestic T20s at the venue stands at 182. Batters can expect good conditions to play their shots and score aggressively, making another high-scoring encounter likely.

Score prediction:

If Faridabad bat first - 190-200 runs

If Yamuna bat first - 160-180 runs

Toss: To Bowl

In the last five T20s at the venue, chasing sides have won three times, suggesting a slight advantage for teams batting second. Overcast conditions could assist pacers with the new ball during the powerplay, while any rain-induced reduction in overs would make chasing even more favourable. Both teams have previously enjoyed success while bowling first and are likely to prefer fielding first if they win the toss.

Toss Prediction: Yamuna to win the coin toss.

Faridabad Firebirds enter this contest as the favourites to win this match. They are coming off three victories out of four matches in the NCR T20 League. Their only loss came against Delhi in the group stage. They also have a strong lineup of all-rounders and their captain gives big stability to their bowling. This is also a crucial match for both teams as both teams would eye to get their hands on the trophy.

Faridabad Firebirds to win.
