At last Haryana Steelers tasted victory in their last match when they beat the Telegu Titans convincingly. But they have a heavy schedule ahead with back to back matches. After they play the Bulls in this match, they take on Telegu Titans again on 31st December. This will test them physically as well as their bench strength as its not easy to play back to back kabaddi matches. Haryana Steelers have some new heroes, Raider Meetu and all rounder Rohit Gulia who have 45 raids points between them in 3 matches.

Bengaluru Bulls rejuvenated themselves with that 1 point victory over Bengal Warriors in their last match. Pawan Sehrawat was back in form with 15 points in that match which included 2 Super Raids which broke the backbone of the Warriors.

Chandran Ranjith looks in ominous form for the Bulls while Surender Nada is an all time great defender of the PKL.

Steelers need to stop Pawan Sehrawat at any cost, while the Bulls will have to take on the young brigade of the Haryana Steelers.

This will be a mouth watering contest, Bulls have the edge but Steelers might just prove to be party poopers.

Haryana Steelers Preview

Haryana Steelers have a young brigade which has tasted success in this season, they beat the mighty Telegu Titans. They looked pretty good in their first 2 matches but lacked the killer punch. Now they have multiple players in form.

The ever reliable Vikash Kandola will be their anchor man. With an average of 9.5 raid points per match, he will be expected to deliver consistently. They have a young brigade of raiders in the form of Vinay, Ashish, Akshay and Meetu Mahender. They will also be dependent on all rounders like Rohit Gulia and Rajesh Narwal.

Meetu Mahender and Rohit Gulia ransacked the Titans in their last match. Thrice in that match Meetu got the better of left corner Mahender of the Titans and earned 12 points in all.

The other good thing for the Steelers is the duo of Surender Nada and Mohit in the defence. Surender Nada is awesome in the left corner. Mahender showed class when the tackled Bahubali Siddharth Desai pushing him perpendicular out of play. This shows his power as well as agility. If the lethal combo of raiders and defenders mix up a powerful potion, Bengaluru Bulls will have a tough 40 minutes.

Steelers had some impressive numbers last season-

76 Do or Die raid points

32 All outs inflicted

15 Super raids

39% successful raids.

Surprise packages:

Meetu and Rohit Gulia have scored 45 points in 3 mathces.

Surender Nada has 10 successful tackles including 2 Super tackles which has earned his 12 points.

Vikash Kandola has 6 super raids to his name.

Bengaluru Bulls Preview

Bulls are currently at the 5th position in the points table, but they have been a bit inconsistent. Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat is their main weapon, but the defence has been a bit porous. When Pawan fails, the team struggles. But they have done themselves some good when they defeated Bengal Warriors by a solitary point.

Pawan Sehrawat has got 36 points from 29 successful raids in 3 matches. Chandran Ranjith has given him ample support but he don't seem to have a decent third raider. Bulls have an average of 18 successful raids per match this season. This includes 3 Super Raids and 4 all outs inflicted. Their ability to score quickly will help them in this match.

But they have some problems to sort out. They have conceded 6 all out till now and have overall conceded 111 points. This takes the steam out of all their hard work.

They have a very low successful tackle percentage which makes them sitting ducks in tight situations. Defenders Saurav Nandal, Mahender and Mayur Jagganath will have to complement the efforts of Pawan and Ranjith in order to control the match. They were lucky to win by a point against Bengal Warriors but luck is not what they would like to depend on.

Pawan Sehrawat needs to fire on all cyclinders. Bulls needs a good 3rd raider for back up.

Bulls have earned 69 team raid points, setting an average of 23 for team raid points.

Improve bonus point collection and DoD raid success rate.

This is going to be a delicious encounter as both teams see to be peaking at the right time. Bengaluru Bulls have had see-saw journey, while the Haryana Steelers have been consistent. Bulls are heavily reliant on Hi Flyer Pawan Sehrawat to give them the push but their defence needs improve quickly. They have been conceding a lot of points in all matches as well as getting all out too often.

Haryana Steelers have been on a roll, improving with every match. Vikash Kandola didn't shine in their last encounter but Rohit Gulia and Meetu stepped up at the right moment. Add to that the awesome form of defenders Surender Nada and Mohit. If the Steelers put in another team effort, they will trouble the Bulls for sure.

Haryana Steelers will beat Bengaluru Bulls by a slender margin.
