A new season of the Big Bash League is about to go on the floor and things are getting heated up in the Australian domestic circuit. Over the years, the Big Bash League has been one of the premier leagues in the world and has a dedicated fan following among cricket fans.
As compared to the previous edition there are multiple changes in all the squads in the league. There are some big names who have signed new contracts with different jerseys and it will be interesting to see how things come out in the new season.
The first edition of the Big Bash League took place in 2011-12. Sydney Sixers were the first champions of the league and they have maintained their reputation as one of the most dominating teams in the league.
Big Bash League started after 3 years of the Indian Premier League and hence the format is quite similar. There will be league fixtures where all the teams will play ten fixtures and the top 4 teams in the point table will play the next round of the league which includes 3 playoffs and a final.
