Major League Cricket Scores Big with List A Status for Season 2!
Major League Cricket (MLC), America's major homegrown T20 league, has received a huge boost ahead of its second season. The International Cricket Council (ICC) granted List A status to the league, signifying a major step forward for cricket in the USA.
This List A status means every match played, every run scored, and every wicket taken will be officially included in the ICC's stat book. The ICC will now count and consider all player statistics from the tournament. This is a significant encouragement for young people to take up cricket more seriously and pursue careers in the sport. Aspiring American cricketers will have new opportunities, as their performances and stats will gain international recognition.
Following the ICC's approval, MLC CEO Vijay Srinivasan aims to elevate the league's cricket standards to a whole new level. Plans are underway to expand from 19 games per season to 34 by 2025. This expansion could further boost the league's status and popularity. Notably, all six franchise owners also own IPL franchises, and their combined experience aims to skyrocket the league's success in the USA, attracting more revenue and sponsors.

"Now, we take this exciting momentum into the highly anticipated ICC T20 World Cup and season two of the MLC.
