The Southern Brave lost the final match last season against the Oval Invincibles. Meanwhile, the Manchester Originals had a troublesome time last season, finishing 7th in the points table with just one win.
Captain James Vince was the hero with the bat for the Brave last season. The English veteran batter scored 424 runs in 10 innings, but he lacked proper support from other batters. The 2nd top scorer was Alex Davies with 167 runs.
Their struggles are highlighted by the fact that Phil Salt was the top scorer with 228 runs in 8 innings, while Mathew Hurst was the 2nd top scorer with 149 runs. They will be hoping for an improved performance this time onwards.
