With two games to win and with the home team fans supporting them RCB went on to defeat Delhi Capitals by 47 runs. Two huge wins against Punjab Kings by 60 runs and against Delhi Capitals by 47 runs set up the whole tournament and campaign for them.
The Drama at Bengaluru
It was down to one game and the whole clock turned around where they had the best chance of redemption against Chennai Super Kings who have always knocked them out in important games. This time it was RCB’s turn to give the perfect payback and they didn't disappoint. With MS Dhoni batting out in the middle CSK needing 17 runs in 6 balls to qualify and Dhoni smashing a humongous 110-metre six it looked like RCB’s hopes and comeback would go down in vain. But Yash Dayal made an emphatic comeback and dismissed Dhoni on the next ball and CSK for the third time was eliminated from the playoffs. RCB finally created history and became the first team to win six consecutive games in an IPL season and also booked their ticket to the playoffs.
