Marwe missed out on the previous edition of the league because of his fractured middle finger and right index finger. However, the return of the star player will give the Eastern Cape a major advantage in the league.

2) Rashid Khan - MI Cape Town

Rashid Khan is one of the biggest players in T20 international cricket and it is because of the same reason he is always in high demand in T20 cricket leagues. He missed out on the previous edition of SA20 because of his career-threatening back injury. However, the medical experts have given him the green light to make his return to international cricket and in SA20. He will be part of MI Cape Town for the 2nd consecutive time.

3) Anrich Nortje - Pretoria Capitals

Pretoria Capitals were the runners-ups of the first edition of SA20 and the credit majorly goes to the Proteas pace sensation Anrich Nortje. He was the leading wicket-taker for the team in the SA20 2022-23 edition and eventually became a fear in the heart of every pacer. Nortje was away from cricket for 9 months last year because of his stress fracture but he is now back in action and the Capitals will definitely benefit from his presence.

4) Maheesh Theekshana - Joburg Super Kings

Maheesh Theekshana is coming back in action in SA20 this season. He missed out on the previous season partially due to injury and international commitments. He has been part of very less fixtures in SA20 but this year Theekshana is expected to be available for the whole season.

5) Gerald Coetzee - Joburg Super Kings

Joburg Super Kings have received another boost in the team with the presence of Gerald Coetzee. The Karate Kid has seen a sensational rise in the T20 format of cricket and has made a huge impact for South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024.
