Wicket-keeper batter Ellie Johnston joins the Adelaide Strikers for WBBL 2024

Adelaide Strikers have signed former Brisbane Heat wicketkeeper-batsman, Ellie Johnston for the upcoming season of WBBL 2024. The move will help the franchise to strengthen their batting lineup for the league.
Ellie Johnston was part of the Brisbane Heat for the last three seasons. In her 3 years of run with Brisbane Heat, Ellie has played 10 fixtures for the team and has 113 runs on her name at an average of 14.12 and a strike rate of 116.49.
She made headlines in the previous season of WBBL. While playing against Melbourne Stars, Ellie scored 54 off 34 balls and won the Player of the Match award.

With Ellie Johnston, Adelaide Strikers have also signed India’s Smriti Mandhana. She is one of the most experienced batters in T20 cricket and her addition to the list will strengthen their batting depth.
Georgia Adams and Dani Gibson have left the franchise and to replace the duo, the franchise has replaced the duo with Eleanor Larosa and Orla Prendergast.
They also have the local Aussie stars Tahlia McGrath, Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown for the upcoming season of WBBL. The defending champions have planned the squad very well.
