Myanmar Preview

Myanmar will be looking to bounce back after suffering a 27-run defeat against Bhutan in their last match. Chasing a target of 120, they managed to reach 92/9 in their 20 overs.

With the bat, Paing Danu top-scored for Myanmar with 16 runs off 19 balls. Htet Lin Oo scored 12 off nine deliveries, while Htet Lin Aung also contributed 12 runs. Pyae Phyo Wai and Ye Naing Tun added 11 runs each, while Sai Hla Htwe remained unbeaten on 10. However, Myanmar struggled to build partnerships and could not keep the required scoring rate under control.

With the ball, Paing Danu was Myanmar's leading wicket-taker, claiming three wickets for 23 runs in his four overs. Kaung Htet Kyaw picked up two wickets while conceding 14 runs, while Khin Aye and Ko Ko Lin Thu took one wicket each. Sai Hla Htwe completed a tidy spell, giving away just 16 runs in four overs but went wicketless.

Myanmar will need a much-improved performance with both bat and ball against an unbeaten Bahrain side. Their bowling showed some promising moments in the previous game, but the batting unit will need to provide greater consistency if they are to challenge their opponents.
