This is an eagerly awaited Test series between England and New Zealand who will lock horns over a three Test series, many would like more, with this opener getting underway on Thursday at Lord's.
For the hosts, this Test gives them the opportunity to re-connect with a very dubious public who are extremely frustrated and angry with how the team approached and then executed their skills during the unsuccessful Ashes tour in the winter.
As for New Zealand, they will be full of confidence after warming up for this Test with a victory by an innings and 79 runs against Ireland in Belfast last week.
This should be an excellent series with this an extremely exciting opening Test.

The team management remains the same, somehow saved after a diabolical Ashes tour - probably due to a semi-final appearance at the T20 World Cup - but there will be at least one new face for England when this opening Test of the summer gets underway.
At the top of the order, England's patience with Zak Crawley has finally run its course and he has been replaced by Durham opener Emilio Gay who has previously played associate level cricket for Italy.
Skipper Ben Stokes is likely to drop down a place in the order with keeper-batter Jamie Smith going up a place.
Joe Root and Harry Brook are likely to be the main run scorers for England while Josh Tongue and the recalled Ollie Robinson will share the new ball and are likely to be the main threat for the hosts.

Despite finding themselves 21/2 and losing three of their top five for scores under four, New Zealand were able to recover and go on to thrash Ireland last week in Belfast.
This will be a much sterner Test for Tom Latham's side though and he brings a formidable side to Lord's who should be boosted by the return of pace-bowling lead Matt Henry.
Rachin Ravindra and Tom Blundell both come into this match off the back of centuries against Ireland while Devon Conway has an excellent record in the UK and Kane Williamson has plenty of experience of batting at Lord's.
With the ball, Henry will lead the attack alongside Zak Foulkes and Blair Tickner.

The weather forecast is for a humid five days in north London although days two, three, four and five are all expected to be dry. The top temperature will be in the region of 22 degrees.
As ever, Lord's will have a fast outfield, particularly for balls racing down the slope. Although there will be assistance for the bowlers, a par first innings score will be in the region of 350.
With the forecast for four dry days but Thursday, day one, to be stop start with plenty of cloud cover and occasional showers, we predict that both sides will want to bowl first.
This looks like being a very exciting game with New Zealand playing some excellent cricket in advance while England are under plenty of pressure and have an inexperienced bowling attack. Our prediction is for an away win to start the series.
We are backing New Zealand to win!
