ENGW vs IND-W Live Prediction

2026-06-03 00:05:06

India Women Score Over 181.5 in 20 Overs @ 2.35 (Stake.ac)

India Women score at the end of 14 overs is 122/4, after a quite little period between the 11-14 overs, they are slowly starting to pick up the pace now, with 6 overs to go and a well set Harmanpreet Kaur batting at one end and Richa Ghosh yet to come, expect India to go berserk in the last 6 overs and score 60-70 runs.

The three-match T20I series between England and India arrives at Taunton on Tuesday locked at 1-1. India took the opener at Chelmsford by 38 runs, but England bounced back in Bristol thanks to Freya Kemp's stunning all-round display of  39* off 13 balls, followed by 2-15 to level the series. With both sides using this as final World Cup preparation, the decider promises high stakes. India's bowling, led by Shree Charani (4 wickets at 5.71 economy), has looked sharper, but England's power-hitting, epitomised by Kemp, makes them dangerous on a pitch that historically rewards strokeplay.

Everything now rests on Tuesday evening. India will be desperate to capture their first bilateral T20I series victory in England after last year's 3‑2 triumph, while England will look to harness the energy from their Bristol fightback and defend home turf. With the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 just around the corner, both sides know that momentum at this stage is priceless.

England Women Preview

Heather Knight's side looked a shadow of themselves at Chelmsford, their top order crumbling under the pressure of a stiff chase and the innings petering out to 150-8. But the response at Bristol was everything a captain could ask as they levelled the series with a thumping 26-run win after posting 168-5.

The batting was anchored by Danielle Wyatt Hodge, whose 29 off 25 provided stability at the top, but the real fireworks came from the lower order. Freya Kemp's 39 not out off 13 balls at a strike rate of 300 was the single most impactful innings of the series so far, and it has earned her a promotion up the order as England look to weaponise her power hitting earlier in the innings.

Alice Capsey contributed a measured 28 off 25, while Heather Knight added 18 off 14, but England's middle order will need to fire more consistently against a disciplined Indian attack. Amy Jones, who has 95 runs in two games, will be relied upon to deliver again.

With the ball, England have relied on their pace attack to do the damage. Lauren Bell was the pick of the bowlers in the first match, returning figures of 3-34, while Linsey Smith and Freya Kemp shared four wickets between them in the second.

Sophie Ecclestone has been economical but wicketless so far, and she will be desperate to make her mark in the decider. Issy Wong adds express pace, while Charlie Dean's off-spin offers control through the middle overs. With the series on the line, expect England to field their strongest possible XI, with Kemp likely to be promoted to give the innings the explosive finish that proved so decisive in Bristol.

Key Players: Danielle Wyatt Hodge, Lauren Bell, Amy Jones

ENG-W Over/Under Betting Tips

Amy Jones Total Runs Over 20.5 @ 1.85

Amy Jones has been the most prolific run-scorer for England this series, where the promotion to the top of the order has worked wonders for her, she has looked at her absolute best scoring 95 runs in two matches. Given her current run of form, we back Jones to score over 20 runs in today's series decider.

India Women Preview

India Women began the tour with a statement of intent at Chelmsford, posting 188 for 7 -the highest total of the series so far - before their bowlers executed their plans to perfection. But the Bristol defeat, where they were restricted to 142- 9, exposed a vulnerability that the captain will be desperate to address before the decider.

Smriti Mandhana found some rhythm in Bristol with 32 off 29, but India need their vice‑captain to fire at the top of the order if they are to post or chase a commanding total. The batting, however, has not been a one‑woman show. Yastika Bhatia has been the standout performer of the series, her 54 off 40 in the first match setting the platform for India's imposing total. Jemimah Rodrigues has also been prolific; her 69 off 40 in the opening encounter was a masterclass in timing and placement.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur’s presence in the middle order and her tactical nous in the field could also be the difference in a high‑pressure decider.

In the bowling department, Shree Charani has emerged as a genuine threat. The young left‑arm spinner returned exceptional figures of 3-25 in Bristol, troubling England's middle order with her flight and turn. Nandani Sharma, impressive on debut with figures of 1-36, adds variety to an attack that also features Deepti Sharma's off‑spin and Arundhati Reddy's medium pace.

Key Players: Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Shree Charani

IND-W Over/Under Betting Tips

Yastika Bhatia Total Runs Over 19.5 @ 1.85

Yastika Bhatia has scored over 30 runs in both the matches played in the series so far. Though she was called off by the team as retired out in the last match, where she couldn't get going in the middle overs, which eventually costed India the win in the end. Expect Bhatia to step up in today's match and score over 19 runs.

India Women Predicted Playing XI:

Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia, Harmanpreet Kaur(c), Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh(w), Deepti Sharma, Arundhati Reddy, Shreyanka Patil, Nandni Sharma, Shree Charani

The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton has hosted 22 women’s T20Is.  In those 22 matches, teams batting first have won 12 times, teams chasing have won 10 times. The average first-innings score is 146, but the ground has seen totals ranging from England's imposing 250/3 down to Pakistan's 60 all out. The highest successful chase at Taunton in women’s T20Is is 166, achieved by South Africa against England in 2018.

The pitch traditionally offers true bounce and good carry, allowing stroke-makers to play their shots with confidence. The outfield is generally fast, rewarding well-timed boundaries. The boundaries are relatively generous, measuring approximately 65 metres square and 70 metres straight, encouraging batters to find the gaps rather than rely solely on power.

Pace bowlers have taken 55% of the wickets in women`s T20Is at this venue, spinners 45% -a reflection of a surface that offers something for everyone. A par score is likely to be in the region of 155‑165, and the team batting first has historically held a slight edge.

Total Over/Under Betting Tips

India Women to win the coin toss @ 1.90

We back India Women to win the coin toss in today's match against England Women.

Toss: To Bat

The match is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM local time (11:00 PM IST). Taunton has hosted 22 women`s T20Is, and the team batting first has won 12 of those matches. The captain who wins the toss may choose to bat first, knowing that scoring briskly and setting a total has been the more successful formula historically.

This series has been defined by momentum swings, and the decider feels like a coin flip. India have the more explosive batting lineup, capable of posting or chasing 180-plus on their day. Rodrigues and Bhatia have already shown they can rescue an innings from deep trouble, and Harmanpreet Kaur adds stability and experience to the middle order. But India's top-order fragility, with Mandhana and Verma have managed just 40 runs between them in the series, is a glaring vulnerability. Against England's new-ball attack of Bell and Kemp, another early collapse could be fatal.

England have the bowling attack to defend any total, but their batting lacks a consistent anchor. Knight's poor run is a genuine concern; Jones has blown hot and cold, and aside from Kemp's late fireworks, no England batter has truly taken control of an innings. The home side's saving grace is their depth and their ability to absorb pressure, as they showed after the Chelmsford defeat.

The venue may decide it. Visiting teams have won the last three women`s T20Is at Taunton. The pitch is true, the outfield is fast, and the boundaries are chaseable. In a match that could come down to which side handles the pressure of a decider better, England's home advantage and their attack's proven wicket-taking ability give them a razor-thin edge.

Back England Women as the winners of this game.
