Gulbarga Mystics beat Mangalore Dragons by 8 wickets145/2 in 15.3
Gulbarga Mystics head into this contest on the back of a 6-wicket defeat against the Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters in the tournament opener. After being asked to bat first by the Blasters, the Mystics put on a dominant display with the bat, posting a massive total of 201/5 in their 20 overs.
After losing opener Lochan Gowda early for 17, Prakhar Chaturvedi and Aarav Mahesh took complete control of the innings. The duo smashed a spectacular 110-run partnership for the second wicket, with both batters crossing the half-century mark.
Chaturvedi anchored the top order with a fiery 64 off 38 balls, while Mahesh countered brilliantly with 63 off 41 balls. Late cameos from skipper Manish Pandey (19) and Thippa Reddy (20* off 12) provided the final flourish to push the team past the 200-run mark.
In contrast, the bowling unit struggled to defend the big total, ultimately letting the match slip away on the final ball. The biggest issue was the powerplay, where the bowlers leaked a massive 82 runs in the first 6 overs, failing to find early breakthroughs.
Spinners Paras Gurbax Arya (2/34) and Macneil Noronha (1/27) bowled beautifully in the middle overs to apply the brakes and build pressure. However, the lack of support from the rest of the attack; particularly the expensive opening spells from the frontline pacers allowed the opposition to get ahead of the game.

Coastal Kings Managluru's opening match against the Hubli Tigers was abaondoned due to rain as a result they get one point and are off the mark on the points table.
A new and revamped look defines the defending champions, who have changed their name from the Mangaluru Dragons to Coastal Kings Mangaluru. They also feature a change in leadership, with Karun Nair returning to the tournament and being appointed as the new skipper.
They have made a few changes to the batting lineup as well. SJ Nikin Jose (179 runs in 8 matches) is a key feature, alongside two batters from the Mysore Warriors who have moved over to the Mangaluru side: Muralidhara Venkatesh, who scored 229 runs in 10 matches, and Codanda Ajit Karthik, who scored 139 runs in 8 matches. These two players will also provide handy assistance with the ball during the middle overs.
Suraj Ahuja is another key batter to watch, having scored 255 runs in 10 matches last season, averaging 31.88 and striking at 150.00. If he gets going at the top of the order, a high score will certainly be on the cards as he sets up the game early on in the powerplay overs.
In the bowling department, a lot will rely on Vasuki Koushik to lead the fast-bowling attack after a lean patch last season where he picked up 8 wickets in 7 matches. Meanwhile, the ever-experienced leg-spinner Shreyas Gopal—who led the side last time around with 17 wickets and played a key role in his team's championship run—will look to carry that excellent form into this season as well.

It is mostly cloudy in Mysore on Monday, with a temperature of 29°C. There is a 28% chance of precipitation and humidity sits at 60%. A moderate breeze of 16 km/h is blowing, making for a warm but overcast day.
The pitch at Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Ground generally offers a balanced track but so far the three matches that we have seen this season have been high scoring, where the average 1st innings score is around the 185-190 run mark.
Expect a good contest where 185-200 could be a par score given the slight overcast conditions and the pitch has remained under cover for quite a time now where there will be bit of moisture which will favour the bowlers.
Score Prediction
If Coastal Kings Mangaluru Bat 1st: 165-180 runs
If Gulbarga Mystics Bat 1st: 175-190 runs
In both the night matches played in the season so far the team batting first has won, chasing has been a bit of a tough job under lights at Mysore this season where the surface slows down considerably and becomes hard to score. We predict the team that wins the toss will look to bat first in this fixture.
Toss Prediction: Coastal Kings Mangaluru to win the coin toss
It is going to be an even contest between these two batting powerhouses, the Mystics having already played a game will be well aware of how the surface might actually play than the Coastal Kings who are yet to get on the field this season. Though the odds are a bit in favour of the Coastal Kings Mangaluru, we are backing the Gulbarga Mystics to bounce back in this match and get their first win of the season.
