The 38th match of the 2026 Senior Women's One-Day Trophy brings Karnataka Women up against Madhya Pradesh Women in Rajkot. Karnataka have made a strong start to their campaign, winning both their opening fixtures to climb into third spot in Group A. Madhya Pradesh, on the other hand, are struggling after losing their first two encounters and need a result badly to get their tournament back on track. Karnataka look like the favorites right now, but MP are the title holders and possess enough quality to reverse their fortunes.

Karnataka Womens Preview

After two straight victories, Karnataka Women find themselves third in Group A and have become the team to beat this season. Their most recent outing saw them crush Baroda Women by 70 runs—they racked up 294-6 batting first before restricting their opponents to 224, showing dominance across all departments.

If Karnataka can keep playing at this level, there's no reason they can't go all the way and claim the title.

Captain Shubha Satheesh has been phenomenal with the bat, putting together 151 runs across her first two innings while striking at 70.23. Her last knock was a brilliant 94 from 120 deliveries against Baroda, and the team will be looking for another substantial contribution from her.

Shishira Gowda has impressed as well, compiling 121 runs from two matches at 86.42. Add to that Niki Prasad and Soumya Verma, both of whom hit fantastic fifties last time out. Expect at least one of them to chip in with 30 to 40 runs here.

On the bowling front, things have clicked nicely for Karnataka. BG Tejashwini leads the attack with five wickets at an average of 3.88. Saloni P and Monica Patel have combined for three dismissals, and Niki Prasad should be trusted to keep things tight, conceding around four runs per over.

Karnataka Womens Predicted Playing XI:

Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Shubha Satheesh (C), Monica Patel, Sahana Pawar, Shishira Gowda, Mithila Vinod, Prerana Rajesh, Soumya Verma (wk), Saloni P, Niki Prasad, BG Tejashwini

Madhya Pradesh Womens Preview

Defending champions Madhya Pradesh Women have had a terrible start, losing two in a row to get pushed down to second from bottom in Group A. They suffered a narrow one-wicket defeat to Puducherry Women in their latest outing, after putting up just 186 on the board.

Their batting unit must deliver now if they want any chance of turning things around. Opener Ananya Dubey has been their best performer, scoring an excellent 98 runs across two knocks while maintaining a strike rate of 84. She's the type of player who can contribute 20 to 30 runs quickly from the top order and represents their best hope for the remainder of the campaign.

Aayushi Shukla is next on the list with 88 runs in two matches at 87.12. Sanskriti Gupta and Jincy George have also done well, each scoring more than 50 runs in two appearances.

Madhya Pradesh's bowling attack has done a better job than their batting department. Shuchi Upadhyay and Sanskriti Gupta have shouldered most of the responsibility, claiming 11 wickets between them. Aayushi Shukla has also done a solid job, taking four wickets at an average of 19.75.

Madhya Pradesh Womens Predicted Playing XI:

Jincy George, Ananya Dubey, Rahila Firdous (C/WK), Sanskriti Gupta, Muskan Biswas, Priyanka Kaushal, Shuchi Upadhyay, Aayushi Shukla, Dhani Buchade, Pooja Vastrakar, Tamanna Choudhary

Weather Conditions

Rajkot will have sunny and warm weather through the day. The conditions will be slightly hazy at the start, but will start becoming brighter as the day progresses.

KAR-W vs MPD-W Pitch Report

Two matches have been played at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in this tournament, with the highest score of 278-4 by Odisha Women. This has proven to be a sporting wicket that batters will enjoy. Slower bowlers will get plenty to work with as the ball softens up in the middle overs. A score of around 250 will be par here.

Toss: To Bat

With the match starting at 9 AM, both sides will probably prefer to bat first. The pitch usually gets slower as the day heats up, making run-scoring tougher later. So, expect each team to aim for a strong total if they win the toss.

Karnataka Women will aim to keep their winning run going when they face Madhya Pradesh Women, who have struggled badly so far. MP are winless after two matches, and their batting lineup urgently needs to step up if they want any chance of turning things around. Right now, Karnataka appear to be the stronger side with multiple players performing well in batting and bowling. Because of this, backing them to win this match seems like the smarter choice.

Karnataka Women are our picks for the winners of this match.
