Many commentators and pundits expected Bahrain to be the strongest of the three sides in this Malaysia Tri-Nation Series and so it has been proved after the first round of games with both Malaysia and Hong Kong suffering defeats without really looking like winning.
However, one of the sides in this match will get their first victory of the tournament and will then be only two points behind Bahrain at the end of Wednesday's play.
Although it is Malaysia who are the host country, conditions here are not too different than in Hong Kong so there is no huge advantage for them as the home side.
We expect both sides to make the most of playing against another so-called weak team and are anticipating an attacking start by whichever team who bats first.

With both openers making two-ball ducks in the opening game of this Tri-Nation Series, it was always going to be tough for Malaysia to be competitive against Bahrain, and so it proved despite Virandeep Singh producing an exceellent rebuild from number three with 65 runs from 51 balls.
There will need to be more contributions with the bat in this game however as against Bahrain only Singh, Ahmad Faiz at number four and Aqeel Wahid at six managed to get into double-figures.
Defending a target of 126, it was a tough ask for the bowling unit but again Singh stood out with 3/26 from his four overs. Pavandeep Singh also impressed and we expect those two bowlers to lead the attack and to be amongst the wickets once more in this clash against a weaker batting unit for Hong Kong.

Hong Kong found themselves completely outplayed by Bahrain in Tuesday's contest in Kuala Lumpur and they will welcome playing against a lesser bowling attack and weaker batting unit on Wednesday.
It all began so well for Hong Kong with Zeeshan Ali and Anshy Rath puttin on 44 runs for the first wicket inside the powerplay but in spite of reaching 92/2, they were only able to post 118.8.
The bowling attack struggled to contain a powerful batting unit against Bahrain but Ayush Shukla and Ehsan Khan both impressed picking up a wicket each and seeing their economy rates below 6.50.
If Hong Kong can get their same players to perform well in this match then they should be able to come out on top.

Just like on the opening two days of the tournament, there will be some rain around in Kuala Lumpur throughout Wednesday. It will be humid as well with the temperature peaking in the low thirties.
There can be no complaints about the pitch at the Bayuemas Oval and the bounce is consistent. Bowlers have no great advantage and a par score in this game should be around 160-170.
With Bahrain winning both games from bowling first and then chasing down a target with ease, we expect both Hong Kong and Malaysia to want to bowl first as well in this match.
After both teams suffered defeats against Bahrain without really looking like winning the match, this should be a much closer fixture. We predict that both sides will still be in the contest at the halfway stage but are predicting Hong Kong to come out on top.
We are backing Hong Kong to win!
