This first bumper weekend of the 2025 Hundred is already well underway and this clash between Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix on Sunday afternoon in Southampton could be the best game of the lot!
The teams meet at The Rose Bowl with Southern Brave looking to build on their tight and exciting victory by one wicket against Manchester Originals at Old Trafford.
As for Birmingham Phoenix, they were well beaten by Trent Rockets on Friday evening and they have now gone two games across two seasons of the Men's Hundred without a win.
It's still early in the season though and both teams will arrive in the early afternoon keen to get a victory on Sunday!

Southern Brave enjoyed a tight match with Manchester Originals at Old Trafford on Thursday and although they took fewer wickets with the ball they were able to make more runs with the bat and got over the line thanks to their final pair!
Tymal Mills was the key bowler for Southern Brave who took 3/22 on his way to the Player of the Match Award with only Craig Overton picking up a wicket in the first innings of the game.
Although only two bowlers dismissed a batter, the likes of Reece Topley, Chris Jordan and Michael Bracewell will all be ready to step up in this fixture on Sunday.
It wasn't great from the bat for Brave but they still got over the line! Expect the trio of James Vince, Jason Roy and Laurie Evans to be crucial for Southern Brave in this game against Birmingham Phoenix.

Birmingham Phoenix have been built on a core of New Zealand bowlers and most teams in T20 cricket have a big advantage with Trent Boult in their line-up!
Boult went wicketless against Trent Rockets, as did Adam Milne but England bowling coach Tim Southee stepped up in the first game dismissing two big names in Joe Root and Marcus Stoinis.
Benny Howell, a long-time T20 specialist, also impressed picking up the two wickets of the in-form Rehan Ahmed and Tom Banton.
With the bat, the opening pair of Will Smeed and Ben Duckett contributed just one run in their opening game and have more than enough quality to bounce back in this game. There are also plenty of runs down the order with Joe Clarke, Jacob Bethell and Liam Livingstone from numbers four to number six.
There is certainly the talent, the question is can Phoenix come together and pull off win against Southern Brave.

It looks like being a fine day in Southampton on Sunday afternoon with the temperature expected to be up and around 25 degrees at the start of this game. No rain will threaten this game between Brave and Phoenix!

The Rose Bowl is a beautiful venue to play and watch cricket at. The ball will turn for spinners but will also come onto the bat at a good speed with a par score likely to be 160+.
Three of the last four clashes between these teams have been won by the team batting first so we predict that both skippers will want to bat first in this game on Sunday.
Southern Brave will need to improve on their performance which saw them scrape over the line against Manchester Originals in their last game but we expect them to do so. Birmingham Phoenix have the quality to do well but player for player we think Southern Brave have the talent to get another victory.
