Minister Group Dhaka to win
Tournament: Bangladesh Premier League 2022 | Format: T20 | Venue: Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka, Bangladesh | Toss: To Bowl
Bet NowIt is the 7th game in the Bangladesh Premier League 2022 and Sylhet Sunrisers would be looking for their first win taking on the Minister Group Dhaka. Sylhet Sunrisers made a poor start to the tournament going down against the Comilla Victorians in their last game. On the other hand, Minister Group Dhaka comes here with a win against Fortune Barishal.
Sylhet Sunrisers batting looked weak in the last game. None of their batsmen were able to occupy the crease and this would hurt their confidence. Minister Group Dhaka have some of the best players in this format of the game in the squad and it remains to be seen if the Sunrisers can pull off a win in this game.
It was a poor start to the tournament for Mosaddek Hossain’s side as they went down by 2 wickets against the Comilla Victorians. The side got bowled out for just 96 runs in the last game but they did bowl well. Hossain would want to see better efforts from their batsmen as they would be up against a good bowling attack.
Colin Ingram and Anamul Haque need to deliver a good start after failing to do well in the last game. In the middle order Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Mithun, and Ravi Bopara are experienced players and they have to make good use of their vast experience. The side would also like to see a good show from Alok Kapali and Sohag Gazi towards the end of the innings.
Their bowlers did well in defending the low total in the last game and the side would like to see tight bowling from Taskin Ahmed and Gazi in this game. Hossain and Nazmul Islam would be confident with their form and look to restrict Dhaka to a low total. Kapali and Kesrick Williams shall need to support the main bowlers.
Mosaddek Hossain (c), Anamul Haque (wk), Mohammad Mithun, Colin Ingram, Alok Kapali, Ravi Bopara, Muktar Ali, Sohag Gazi, Nazmul Islam, Kesrick Williams, Taskin Ahmed
Sunzamul Islam, Colin Ingram, Ravi Bopara, Mosaddek Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Anamul Haque, Muktar Ali, Sohag Gazi, Nazmul Islam, Lendl Simmons, Mohammad Mithun
After suffering two consecutive losses Mahmudullah’s side found its mojo as they defeated Sylhet Surrisers by 4 wickets in the last game. It was a good show from their bowlers as they restricted Barishal to a small total and chased it down comfortably. Mahmudullah would want to carry this form forward and register their second win here.
The side would want to see a strong start from Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Shahzad who missed out in the last game. In the middle order, Mohammad Naim and Jahurul Islam need to offer good support to Mahmudullah and set up a strong platform. They would also like to see runs from the bats of Isuru Udana, Shuvagata Hom, and Andre Russell
Rubel Hossain and Hom were brilliant with the ball in the last game and the side would want them to continue with the same line. Russell and Udana bring in good experience to the attack and they would aim to unsettle Sylhet batsmen. With Mamudullah, Arafat Sunny, and Hasan Murad in the mix, the side has good depth in its bowling attack.
Mahmudullah (c), Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Shahzad (wk), Jahurul Islam, Mohammad Naim, Andre Russell, Shuvagata Hom, Isuru Udana, Arafat Sunny, Rubel Hossain, Hasan Murad

There would be odd clouds over Dhaka on January 25. We have seen a flat wicket so far and batsmen have been able to score runs freely. There is little on this wicket for the bowlers, and they have struggled. The side batting first would need 170 runs or more to defend it successfully.
The pitch at Shere Bangla National Stadium is flat and the fast outfield allows batsmen to score easily. There isn’t much on this surface for the fast bowlers and they must rely on their variations to do well on this track. It has been a happy hunting ground for the spinners over the years.
In the past, most teams have won games chasing the score here and the script has been the same in the first five games of the season. The wicket is good to chase especially during this time of the year. The side winning the toss here would invariably choose to bowl first.
Sylhet Sunrisers would be under pressure after their pathetic show with the bat in the last game. Their bowlers put up a good performance, but the side would need its batsmen to deliver the goods in this game. Minister Group Dhaka come here with a win, and they have some of the biggest names in this format on their side. This would put them ahead of Sunrisers in this game.
