UAE Under-19 endured a tough outing as they suffered a heavy 234-run defeat against a dominant India Under-19 side. Chasing a massive target of 434, UAE never found momentum and lost early wickets, which put them under constant pressure.
The top order collapsed quickly, leaving the middle order with too much to do. Prithvi Madhu showed resistance with a patient 50, while Uddish Suri played a fighting knock of 78 not out, batting deep into the innings. However, the required run rate was always out of reach.
With the ball, UAE struggled to contain India’s powerful batting. Despite efforts from Yug Sharma and Uddish Suri, the bowlers conceded runs regularly and failed to apply sustained pressure. Overall, it was a learning experience for UAE against a far superior Indian side.

Malaysia Under-19 suffered a very tough defeat as they were beaten by Pakistan Under-19 by a massive 297 runs. Chasing a huge target of 346, Malaysia’s batting collapsed early and never recovered. The top order was dismissed cheaply, with several batters failing to get off the mark or reach double figures.
Wickets fell regularly as the Pakistani bowlers maintained tight lines and relentless pressure. No batter was able to build a partnership, and the team was bowled out for just 48 runs in 19.4 overs.
With the ball earlier, Malaysia tried hard but struggled to contain Pakistan’s strong batting lineup. Despite some tidy spells and a couple of wickets, the bowlers conceded runs at a steady rate and could not break key partnerships.
Overall, it was a difficult outing for Malaysia, highlighting the gap in experience and quality against a dominant Pakistan side but they have an easier opponent in UAE to handle in this fixture and they will look to put on a much better performance.

Rain is expected in Dubai on Sunday, with cloudy skies and a high chance of precipitation. Temperatures will hover around 24°C, with moderate humidity at 65% and winds blowing at 16 km/h, which could affect playing conditions.
The pitch at The Sevens Stadium has offered a balanced track that favours both the batters and bowlers. Out of the four innings three scores have been under 100 runs, while one score is over 300 runs. Both teams coming on the back off low scores in their last match, so expect a much better performance and a score of around 230-240 could be par.
Team batting first won one and bowling first won one of the two matches played in the U-19 Asia Cup 2025 at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai. Both teams batting unit has struggled while chasing, so the ideal choice from either of the captains will likely be to bat first.
