In a week where Manchester United lost their midweek fixture, Leicester gained pace on the top of the table by earning a decent draw against Everton.

They will remain without Jamie Vardy for this one, as the striker continues to recover after a hernia operation, but the team has proved capable of coping without their star forward in the past.

The Foxes ran out 4-1 winners in the reverse fixture back in November, but of course against this Leeds side, all results are possible.

Leeds are in good form themselves, having won three of their last five league matches, beating the hapless Newcastle most recently.

They too will be looking at the teams above, knowing that if they can string together a few good results they can make a charge into the top half of the table.

This one has goals written all over it.

Leicester City Preview

Form Guide (all comps): WWWWD

Reasons to be cheerful:

Could go top if both Manchester clubs slip up

Have gone nine matches unbeaten in all competitions

Reasons to be fearful:

Injured Jamie Vardy was instrumental the last time they beat Leeds

Leeds are completely unpredictable to play against

Leicester are starting to show their steel after going seven league matches, and nine games in all competitions, without tasting defeat.

Only Manchester City are on a longer unbeaten spell right now, and The Foxes will undoubtedly have their sights set at securing a top four place this season.

Despite Jamie Vardy continuing his spell on the sidelines, the likes of Barnes, Maddison and co. have stepped up significantly in recent weeks. Barnes in particular has been in fantastic form of late.

They will need to be wary of Leeds, of course. The Yorkshire side have an unpredictability about them that could just as easily see them score five goals as concede them.

Leicester are favourites here but will need to be at their best.

Star Man – Harvey Barnes

The young attacker has been brilliant of late, involved in five goals in his last six league appearances.

Leeds United Preview

Form Guide (all comps): WLLLW

Reasons to be cheerful:

Win over Newcastle got them back on track

Have won three of their last five league games

Reasons to be fearful:

Have conceded as many goals in 19 games as they did in 46 games last season (35)

Their top scorer Bamford has gone four games without a goal

Leeds have the ability to move a good deal higher in the league before the end of this season, but can they organise their defence and stay solid enough to do so?

Unfortunately for them and their supporters, they are just as likely to thrash a side as they are to be thrashed themselves, though it certainly makes for great entertainment.

Defender Diego Llorente will face a period on the sidelines having injured his hamstring in midweek, but otherwise manager Bielsa has a fit squad to choose from.

Leeds usually travel well, having thrashed West Brom 5-0 and beat Newcastle 2-1 recently.

Star Man – Raphinha

Has six goal involvements in his six away starts for Leeds this season

     An entertaining end-to-end match

     Leicester to shade possession

     Both sides to score

Leicester have a marvellous opportunity to keep up pace with the two teams above them.

Leeds will, as always, press forward at every opportunity and are likely to trouble the Leicester goal on numerous occasions here.

However, we’ve seen enough from Leicester this season to know that they can overcome these types of challenges.

Leicester to win 3-2
