Dominant South Africa Look To Seal Victory

When this Test match got underway in Bulawayo on Sunday, few could have predicted how all the eyes of the cricketing world would suddenly be on the venue by lunch on Monday.
Of course, this was due to South Africa captain Wiaan Mulder getting close to Brian Lara's 21 year individual Test innings record and every cricket fan was following his progress.
But just as quickly as they started following the game, many switched off the moment Mulder declared with his team on 626/5 and himself on 367 not out, leaving Lara's 400 not out in the record books.
What Else Did Day Two Bring
Mulder did not take the World Record but he and his team did pretty much everything else on day two in Bulawayo!
Such was the dominance of the tourists that there were few eyebrows raised when Codi Yusuf dismissed Takudzwanashe Kaitano with the first ball of Zimbabwe's reply.
South Africa's bowlers continued to work their way through the host's batting line-up with only the experienced Sean Williams offering any real push-back. The former skipper hit 83 not out from 55 balls but Zimbabwe were dismissed for 170 and then asked to follow-on.
This time it was Kaitano's opening partner, Dion Myers, who lost his wicket first but 38 runs had been put on the board at this point and Zimbabwe got to the close on 51.
South Africa's bowlers back up Mulder's batting efforts
The South African skipper completed a remarkable day by returning two wickets from his six overs in Zimbabwe's first innings but he was not the only one on his team to produce the goods with the ball.
