Global Super League 2024 - Schedule, Format, and Squads

The T20 cricket leagues have become the centre stage of cricket as a sport across the globe. There are multiple T20 cricket leagues taking place in every continent that have helped cricket to grow in every corner of the world.

Global Super League is a new T20 cricket league administrated by Cricket West Indies. The first season of the Global Super League is scheduled to begin on the 27th of November. Guyana Amazon Warriors will host Lahore Qalandars in the first fixture at Providence Stadium, Guyana.

The Global Super League is a bit different from other T20 cricket leagues. It is a mixture of different teams from other cricket leagues who will meet with cricket stars from different countries in their team from across the globe. Cricket West Indies has sanctioned the league with the complete support of the Guayana government and the prize money for the first season will be $1 million. The league is also the standalone cricket event of South America Cricket.

Clive Loyd, the West Indies cricket legend, is the chairman of the Global Super League and the whole tournament will take place under his supervision. He and his team will be monitoring every fixture closely in order to run the whole event smoothly.

The Carrabian Islands will be also busy with hosting Bangladesh for a 2-match Test series during the tournament. There is a high possibility that a few players might not be actively available for every fixture.

Global Super League also occur at the same time as the Nepal Premier League and Abu Dhabi T10. These two events might also hamper the full participation of the players from the respective teams.

Global Super League 2024 - Format

Global Super League 2024 will be conducted with 11 league matches. All the teams will play the other in a single round-robin format. The top teams in the point table will reach the next round.

The next round in the league will consist of a final fixture. Since the number of teams is less, there are no playoffs.
