ICC Rankings: Liam Livingstone is the New Number 1 in T20i Cricket

The new ICC rankings have been released and Liam Livingstone is leading the charts in T20i cricket. The English allrounder has become the new number 1 in the ICC All-rounder Rankings for T20i.

Liam Livingstone has climbed seven places and has topped the charts ahead of Australia’s Marcus Stoinis. A fabulous performance in the 2nd T20 against Australia at Cardiff this month led him to jump to the top of the list.

The England vs Australia T20 series saw Liam playing at number 4 and that brought the best out of him. "It's up to me to make sure I try to do as well as I can and give them a bit of a headache for the next series," he said after the first T20I. "I don't think you'll see anybody that wants to bat lower down the order,” he added.

During the 2nd T20 against Australia, Liam scored 87 off 47 at a strike rate of 185.11. He also scalped 2 wickets at an economy of 5.33. It is because of his performance, that England was able to draw the series. The third T20 fixture between the two teams was washed out due to rain.
