Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson are two of the pioneers of New Zealand cricket. However, they both have been effective batsmen in their own style and for different formats of the game.

Ross Taylor has been a successful batsman when it comes to white-ball cricket in terms of total runs. However, both batters carry a similar average when it comes to the ODI format.

In Test cricket, Kane Williamson has been a much better player for New Zealand. His batting average is much higher than Taylor and has more runs than him in the red-ball format.

Afghanistan vs New Zealand - One-off Test

The two teams are scheduled to meet for a one-off Test starting Monday. It is going to be the first meeting between the two teams in the red-ball format. The fixture is expected to be full of surprises.

Afghanistan is fairly a new team in the Test format. They don’t have much experience in playing red-ball cricket and their primary player - Rashid Khan is also missing out from the fixture.
