East Delhi Riders Preview

East Delhi Riders remain winless after three matches in the Delhi Premier League 2026. Sitting at the bottom of the points table, they will look to register their first victory when they face West Delhi Lions at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on 7 August.

Their campaign began with a four-wicket defeat to South Delhi Superstarz after posting 165. They then suffered a heavy 49-run loss to New Delhi Tigers, managing only 129 for 9. On 5 August they were beaten by six wickets by North Delhi Strikers despite scoring 171 for 6.

They opened their campaign with a 19-run victory over New Delhi Tigers after successfully defending 170. A seven-wicket defeat to Purani Delhi-6 followed, before they bounced back with a five-wicket win over South Delhi Superstarz, chasing 161 successfully.

Batting has been led by Ayush Doseja, who is the team’s top run scorer with 148 runs from three innings at a strike rate of 155.79 and average of 49.33. He started the season with 84 off 52 balls vs New Delhi Tigers and scored 44 off 27 balls in the last game against South Delhi Superstarz.

Ankit Kumar has scored 92 but his only solid contribution of 86 runs off 45 balls came against Purani Delhi-6. 22-year-old Krish Yadav has scored 90 runs and Mayank Gusain scored 73. Overall, the top and middle order have regularly posted competitive totals.

The bowling unit has been effective. Manan Bhardwaj leads the wicket-takers chart for the side with 6 scalps from three matches to his name. He got a 3-fer in the first game and returned with figures of 2/34 in the last match. 

Kulwant Khejroliya has been in great form, taking 5 wickets in 2 matches and Mayank Gusain was the star of the show in the last match with 3/13, extending his wickets-tally to 5 for the season.
