Pakistan and Australia meet once more in Lahore for the second T20I, with the home side holding a 1-0 lead after their convincing display in game one. Their complete team performance gave them the perfect start, and they'll be looking to seal the series with another win here. Australia have their work cut out, especially since several squad members find it difficult to adapt when the surface is this sluggish. Better contributions from the batsmen will be necessary to change their fortunes. At this stage, Pakistan are the favorites.

Pakistan started the series with a superb win against a new-look Australian side. While they will be disappointed with their batting performance as they could manage only 168-8 on the board, after being 74-2 at one point, their spinners brought them back in the game to restrict Australia to just 146.
The opening three batsmen—Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, and Salman Agha—are talented, but Pakistan have struggled to score freely in the powerplay for quite some time now. Saim was the pick of these three in the opener, making a brilliant 40 from just 22 balls.
Sahibzada also has the ability to come out swinging from ball one—he should be targeting 30-plus runs at a strike rate above 130.
Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam are there to steady things through the middle, adding some control and pushing the score along as the innings builds. Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz are the designated finishers, tasked with launching into the bowling during the death overs with big hits and clean timing.
Shaheen Afridi and Saim Ayub will share the new ball, and both have the skills to create early problems and take wickets.
When the middle overs come around, Abrar Ahmed, Nawaz, and Shadab become important as their variations can deceive the inexperienced Australian batters who haven't faced top-class spin bowling regularly.
Saim Ayub Total Runs Over 22.5 1.85
Saim Ayub scored a match winning knock of 40 runs in the last match at Lahore. In the last five T20I's he has four scores of over 22 and is in really good form heading into today's match. At Lahore, he scored 238 runs in 11 matches, averaging 23.8. Given his current run of form, we back Ayub to score over 22 runs in today's match against Australia.

Australia played well in the opening T20, even though they had a new-look side with three debutants. The bowlers controlled Pakistan through the middle overs before the batting unit struggled to get going on these slow surfaces. That problem is not going to go away.
They have experienced players like Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Marcus Stoinis, and Josh Philippe, along with newcomers Matthew Short and Mitch Owen, who've impressed in the BBL. Marsh and Stoinis sat out the opener as they were rested, but could get some time on the field here.
Head typically goes after bowling attacks from the start, getting Australia off to quick starts, as he did in the first match with a quick 23 off 13. Short brings stability when he walks in, and Philippe plus Stoinis can clear the boundary later in the innings.
All-rounder Green is one to watch for Australia—he can launch big sixes in the middle order, and as he showed that in the first T20I, with a gritty 36 of 31.
With the ball, Xavier Bartlett and Cooper Connolly should start the bowling again after performing well in the opener, where Bartlett stood out most with figures of 2-26 from four.
Among the others, Mahli Beardman and Adam Zampa, who grabbed six wickets between them, will be important here again. Leg-spinner Zampa is their main option, and if he keeps things tight through the middle overs, Australia should be in control.
Travis Head Total Runs Over 24.5 1.85
Travis Head got off to a quick fire start scoring 23 runs in the last match but he couldn't kick on and convert it into a big knock. Against Pakistan he is averaging 23.75 scoring 95 runs in 5 matches. On a good batting track at Lahore, Head will look to play a match winning knock and we back him to score over 24 runs in today's match.

The pitch at the Gaddafi Stadium is a challenging one with the ball holding and gripping for the spinners. Batters who go straight do better than those looking to work the ball square. Fast bowlers must change their pace up consistently—express pace won't help much if the line or length is wrong. As the innings moves along, spinners will come into play and will be hard to hit on this surface.
The temperature will be pleasant and cool right through.

Average Turn
Teams batting first at the Gaddafi Stadium usually average around 171 runs. In this match, however, posting a total of around 175 will be important to stay ahead.
Pakistan to win the coin toss 1.90
We back Pakistan to win the coin toss in today's match against Australia.
The toss-winning skipper is likely to bat first here as chasing will become difficult in the second innings at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Australia will look to bounce back after that loss in the opening T20I; however, it won’t be easy. The hosts are formidable on their own turf, and the touring side has had barely any time to adjust to the pace and bounce of these slow pitches. A stronger response from Australia is certainly on the cards, but Pakistan hold the upper hand heading into this clash because of their familiarity with these slow pitches, where their spinners are expected to strangle Australian batters again.
Pakistan are our picks for the winners of the second T20I.
