Bet NowICC T20 World Cup 2021 is up and running with the group matches between the 8 teams. PNG made their debut in the ICC tournaments alongside full member nations in the World cup opener against hosts Oman. But, they did not have a good start as they succumbed to a massive 10 wicket loss. Scotland announced themselves in the group stages with a win over full member nation Bangladesh by 6 runs. They will be high on morale and confidence after that win and will look to win this match and continue the momentum. Scotland will move one step closer to qualification with a win in this match.
Scotland succumbed to 53/6 in the 12th over as their top order failed to give a good start. Chris Greaves (45 runs) and Mark Watt (22 runs) counter attacked the opposition bowlers and shared a 51-run partnership for seventh wicket to take them to a respectable total of 140/9 in 20 overs. Earlier, George Munsey scored a valiant 29 runs midst the continuous wicket fall at the top.
Scotland pacers Josh Davey and Bradley Wheal took a wicket apiece in the powerplay and strangled the run flow effectively in the match. Spinners Mark Watt and Chris greaves stringed together another partnership with the ball this time with combined figures of 7-0-38-3 to shoot up the required run rate. Safyaan Sharif and Michael Leask were slightly expensive with the ball in the last game.
Top players to bet on:
Chris Greaves – Greaves had a brilliant night as he scored 45 runs off 28 balls and then bowled to claim 2 wickets in the middle overs. He was awarded Man of the match for his performance last night and will look to do a repeat of the same in this match too.
Mark Watt – Watt scored 22 runs off 17 balls and had bowling figures of 4-0-19-1 in the match last night. He can be a game changer with the bat and ball for Scotland and will be eager to make his team win in this match too.

PNG had a rude welcome to the World Cup games with both their openers being dismissed for ducks. Skipper Asaad Vala (56 runs) and Charles Amini (37 runs) then lead the fightback for their team from 0/2. But their middle order fell like ninepins as they ended with just 129 runs in their scheduled 20 overs.
Their bowling unit was never in the game as the opposition cleaned up the chase in just 14.2 overs for no loss. All the seven bowlers failed to pick at least a wicket and everyone went for over 7 RPO. Kabua Morea, Pokana, and ravu must take more responsibility with the ball and try to take wickets early in the match.
Top players to bet on:
Asaad Vala – Asaad vala scored 56 runs off 43 balls and became the first player to score 1000 T20I runs for PNG in the last game. He can be a handy bowler too and has 31 wickets to his name in his T20I career so far.
Charles Amini – Amini scored 37 runs off 26 balls with the bat but did not have a good time with the ball as he leaked 31 runs in his 2.4 overs. We expect him to come up with an all-round performance in this match.
Tony Ura, Assad Vala (c), Charles Amini, Lega Siaka, Norman Vanua, Sese Bau, Simon Atai, Kiplin Doriga (wk), Nosaina Pokana, Damien Ravu, Kabua Morea

Al Amerat has bright and sunny weather with no chances of rain on the match day. We expect a full match with no weather disturbances.
Al Amerat will be a fairly flat track and it is a very good one for the batters especially. Dew might settle down in the second innings and trouble the bowlers to grip the ball. We expect the average scores to be around 160-180 runs in this match.
Chasing is the best option as dew is expected to settle down as the match progresses but the evening match slightly negates the dew factor. And still chasing will be preferred by both captains.
Scotland team came from a position of 53/6 to beat Bangladesh in the last match. Their batting depth came to the rescue and the bowlers kept the lid on the scoring rate to strangle the opposition effectively. We expect them to go all guns blazing in this match too. PNG had a bad start to their world cup with a massive loss to Oman. Their openers and middle order need to be more consistent and bowlers must try to tale wickets up front. We expect Scotland to win this match and go ahead in the points table.
Scotland will win the match
