After a seven-wicket loss in the first match of the season against the Los Angeles Knight Riders, San Francisco Unicorns bounced back with a dominant seven-wicket victory over the Texas Super Kings. Opting to bowl first, the Unicorns' bowling attack put on a clinical display to restrict Texas to 152/9.
Veteran pacer Peter Siddle spearheaded the charge, picking up three crucial wickets for 36 runs. Skipper Matthew Short and Brody Couch provided excellent support, claiming two wickets each to constantly stall the opposition's momentum.
In response, the Unicorns chased down the target comfortably, reaching 153/3 in 17.5 overs. Opener Lhuan-dre Pretorius anchored the innings perfectly, remaining unbeaten with a stellar 69 off 55 balls. Short made a quickfire 31 off 19 balls to provide early momentum, while Sanjay Krishnamurthi’s unbeaten 19 ensured a smooth finish to get their season back on track.
The Unicorns will once again go up against the Texas Super Kings for the second time this season and will look to replicate the same like they did in the last match and make it a double over the Super Kings.

A win to begin the season on a high where they chased down 221 runs in 18.3 overs, but all that momentum has been derailed with back to back losses for the Texas Super Kings, both while batting first where they lost to the San Francisco Unicorns by seven wickets and in the last match to MI New York.
Sent in to bat, the Texas Super Kings struggled to establish partnerships and were bowled out for 158 in 19.2 overs. Shubham Ranjane top-scored with 49 off 36 balls, and Milind Kumar chipped in with 39, but the rest of the batting order collapsed against Corbin Bosch’s four-wicket haul.
Defending a modest total, the Texas bowling attack failed to apply pressure on MI New York's batters. Amshi de Silva and Hardus Viljoen managed a wicket apiece, but they proved expensive. MI New York chased down the target comfortably in 17.4 overs with eight wickets in hand, handing Texas another heavy defeat.
