The art of bottling down matches from winning positions this has been the case of Yorkshire Women right throughout the season and the last match was no different where after scoring 60 runs in the first 8 overs and briging the game down to less than 7 runs per over, Yorkshire still couldn't get the job done in the end.
Chasing 147 for victory at Headingley, the top order laid a decent foundation. Sterre Kalis scored a fluent 23, while openers Lauren Winfield-Hill (18 runs) and Erin Thomas (17 runs) got the scoreboard ticking early on. Ami Campbell then fought hard in the lower-middle order with a crucial 26 runs, giving the hosts a massive opportunity to seal the victory.
However, Yorkshire suffered a major batting collapse in the final overs, losing their last five wickets for just ten runs. They were ultimately bowled out for 143 with two balls to spare, falling agonizingly short by three runs.
Yorkshire are yet to win a match this season and are currently on a four match losing streak, the batting order will further be weakened as Sterre Kalis is unavailable and Rebecca Duckworth is expected to feature in the playing XI.

Durham Women are on a roll this season, proving to be one of the best bowling sides in the competition, and they demonstrated it once again in their last match by defending a score of 141 runs against Warwickshire Women.
Batting first at the Riverside Ground, Durham posted a competitive 140/5 in their 20 overs. After an early stutter where they lost two wickets inside the first four overs, Durham recovered well.
Bess Heath launched a counter-punch with an aggressive 61 off 39 balls, while Emily Windsor anchored the middle order with a crucial 31 runs. This duo added 80 runs for the third wicket, but Durham lost three wickets in quick succession at the backend of their innings and could not really accelerate in the death overs.
When it came to defending the target, the bowlers put on a masterclass to bowl out Warwickshire for just 113 runs in 18.1 overs. Sophia Turner led the attack with superb figures of 2/13, while Mady Villiers (2/23), Heather Graham (2/23), and Katie Levick (2/23) picked up two wickets apiece.
Durham's bowlers are on a roll this season, and the arrival of Heather Graham has done wonders; she has picked up 9 wickets in 4 matches and is among the second-best wicket-takers this season. Much of the credit also goes to the spin duo of Mady Villiers (7 wickets) and Katie Levick (6 wickets), who have never allowed the opponent batters to dictate the game in the middle overs.

The pitch at Headingley, Leeds has favoured the bowlers a lot more than the batters, where run scoring hasn't been easier especially in the middle overs, where it is going to hold a touch. No team has scored past 150 runs in the last four innings at this venue. A score of around 155-160 is a match winning score as the surface slows down in the later stages.
Score Prediction
If Yorkshire Women Bat 1st - 120-135 runs
If Durham Women Bat 1st - 145-160 runs
It has been even stevens in terms of the team batting first and bowling first this season at Headingley, Leeds. But based on the conditions and the way the matches ended we say the team that bat's first will have a slight advantage over the teams chasing.
