BCCI and the selection committee have announced the Indian squad for the 2nd Test against Bangladesh scheduled to take place at Green Park, Kanpur. There are no changes in the team and the same players will be seen in action during the 2nd Test.
There was a probability that BCCI and the selection might make some changes to the squad and include Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and Ruturaj Gaikwad in the team. However, the trio has been snubbed and there is no place for them in the team for the 2nd Test.
Currently, all three of them are part of India’s domestic cricket tournament Duleep Trophy.
"The Men's Selection Committee has retained the same squad for the second Test of the series against Bangladesh," the BCCI said in a statement.
In the first Test between the two teams, Team India came out on top by winning the fixture on the 4th Day. It was a dominating performance from the bowling unit in both innings and that led to an advantage for the team.
Ravichandran Ashwin was announced as the player of the match. He picked up 6 wickets in the 2nd inning and scored 113 off 133 balls at a strike rate of 84.96 in the first inning. It was because of him and Ravindra Jadeja that Team India was able to control the match from the first day.
