No Early Finishes As Yet In Division One

No Early Finishes As Yet In Division One

The main event this summer in the UK has undoubtedly been the England versus India Men's Test Series but any cricket fans looking for high quality red-ball action has not had far to look with the feast of skill, entertainment and ability on show in the County Championship Division One.

This is the final round of fixtures before The Hundred takes over next month and the County Championship will not return until September!

Let's take a look at who is on track for a win in this round of matches and help you with your cricket betting picks.

State of the games in Divison One

Durham versus Surrey

Table-toppers Surrey remain in a very strong position after two days in Chester-le-Street. Their hosts will resume on day three on 222/5, a lead of 53 runs, with Graham Clark (7*) and Codi Yusuf (0*) at the crease.

  • Surrey to win - 1.20
  • Durham to win - 4.33

Essex vs Warwickshire

A side which looked relegation-threatened only a couple of weeks ago, Essex have found form and will begin day three 462 runs ahead of Warwickshire in Chelmsford. Dan Mousley is 54* as part of the visitor's 140/2 but a couple of early wickets will see Essex take firm control of this game.

  • Essex to win - 1.10
  • Warwickshire to win - 7.00

Yorkshire vs Sussex

While Essex have found their form, Sussex have well and truly lost theirs and their first innings total of 222 has already been bettered by Yorkshire in Scarborough who still have six wickets remaining. Harry Duke and Matthew Revis will both look to turn their overnight unbeaten 20s into half-centuries.

Worcestershire vs Hampshire

Worcestershire don't win many games which is perhaps why they are adrift at the bottom of the table but they are in a good position ahead of day three at home against Hampshire. The hosts will resume on 187/2 with Jake Libby (70*) and Adam Hose (82*) at the crease.

  • Worcestershire to win - 1.57
  • Hampshire to win - 2.25

Nottinghamshire vs Somerset

Batters have been on top for the majority of this contest at Trent Bridge but Somerset will be disappointed after posting only 438 in their first innings. Notts are still in the hunt and will get back underway on 189/2, strill trailing by 249 runs on Thursday.

  • Somerset to win - 2.75
  • Notts to win - 1.40
