The Sharjah Cricket Ground pitch is often batting-friendly, with small boundaries that allow for high-scoring contests. It is flat and has a true bounce, making it perfect for aggressive stroke play. So, definitely we can hope for a high-scoring game here. Spinners can get some help as the game progresses, and dew could affect the second innings. The venue has an average first-innings score of around 182 runs this season.
The conditions at this venue generally favour teams batting first. In this tournament, the team batting first has won 9 of the 15 matches played here so far. Hence, the captain winning the toss is likely to choose to bat first.
Australia Champions are the stronger team in current form and look well placed to secure a victory over West Indies Champions. Australia have shown excellent batting depth, and their bowling attack has also been effective. On the other hand, West Indies Champions have also performed well, especially in their convincing win over India Champions. Chadwick Walton has been their key batter, while Rayad Emrit provides an important bowling threat. However, Australia appears to have greater overall depth and consistency across both departments.
