WAC vs QSL Betting Odds

Bookie Western AustraliaWAC QueenslandQSL

This clash between Western Australia and Queensland is an interesting one as it pits a team near the top of the table against one marooned at the bottom.

What's more, there are two other games as part of the fourth round of fixtures in the 2025/26 Sheffield Shield which will already be into day two by the time this match gets underway so Queensland could be well off the pace in the table before the end of this fixture.

Both teams drew their last games, Western Australia against South Australia and Queensland against New South QWales, b ut both will be going all out for victory in this match.

It all gets underway on Tuesday with all eyes on the historic WACA!

Western Australia Preview

Although Western Australia made a total of 307 in their first innings of the match, a score which gave them a 92-run lead, they were unable to get the better of South Australia at the WACA in the last round of games.

Matthew Kelly, Cameron Gannon, Liam Haskett and Corey Rocchiccioli all took 2+ wickets in the first innings against South Australia and all four are likely to be threats in the first innings with the ball in this match as well.

Cameron Bancroft has been in excellent form and can count himself unfortunate to have not been given a recall ahead of the 2025/26 Men's Ashes but he will be keen to maintain his form in this match.

Cooper Connolly and Cameron Green also come into this game after spending valuable time in the middle in the last fixture.

Western Australia Predicted Playing XI:

Cameron Bancroft, Sam Whiteman (c), Hilton Cartwright, Cameron Green, Cooper Connolly, Aaron Hardie, Joel Curtis (wk), Matthew Kelly, Corey Rocchiccioli, Cameron Gannon, Liam Hasket

Queensland Preview

With consistent selection across the team over recent seasons, Queensland look likely to be one of the sides playing at the top of the table in this campaign and so it has proved after the first three rounds.

They are fortunate to have experience and class across their top three - Matt Renshaw, Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne - all of who have been making consistent runs this season.

Jack Clayton hit 113 and Hayden Kerr made an unbeaten half-century against New South Wales so there are also runs down the order in the team.

With the ball, James Bazley, spinner Mitchell Swepson and Kerr are likely to be the main threats.

Queensland Predicted Playing XI:

Matt Renshaw, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne (c), Jack Clayton, Lachlan Hearne, Jimmy Peirson (wk), Hayden Kerr, James Bazley, Mitchell Swepson, Tom Straker, Samuel Skelly

Weather Conditions

According to the weather forecast, it will be a dry four days in West Australia across this match. The temperature will peak at 32 degrees on Tuesday but will be down at 23 by day four.

WAC vs QSL Pitch Report

The WACA has been one of the great venues of Australian cricket over the years and this pitch will be hard and bouncy. Expect a par score of over 380 in the first innings.

Toss: To Bowl

With the temperature set to drop across the four days of this game, both teams will want to bat and not be bowling in the high temperatures on day one of this match!

Western Australia have been poor so far this season and it is unlikely to get any easier with the in-form Queensland coming to town. We are predicting a victory for the visitors.

We are backing Queensland to win!
